It turns out the New York Knicks didn’t just win the 2026 NBA championship: The team’s fan cap also took the top spot as fashion’s hottest product in the new Lyst Index Q2 2026 report, unveiled on Wednesday.
Demand for the product skyrocketed 4,276% quarter-on-quarter around the team’s history-making title win. (Knicks in five!) Spanning May through June of this year, the Q2 report covers a big moment for sporting events and their deepening connection to fashion, with the NBA Finals, Wimbledon and the FIFA World Cup happening at the same time. In fact, it was the latter that pushed the Adidas x Willy Chavarria Jersey onto this quarter’s list of the top 10 hottest products, landing at number nine.
Issey Miyake’s Madame T-Stole ranked second, with a 501% increase in searches. Summer footwear largely dominated the rest of the list, with Skims Jelly Shoes, Gucci’s Vittoria Heels, Chloé’s Jelly Mules and Massimo Dutti’s Toe Sandals ranking third through sixth, respectively. Rounding out the lineup are more summertime styles: Chanel’s Shield Sunglasses ranked seventh with a 363% increase in demand; Doen’s Iona Shorts came in eighth with a 96% demand increase; and Zimmermann’s Daylight Dress landed in spot 10, with searches up 322%.
Though Chanel didn’t top the hottest products list, it did manage to keep its throne as the world’s hottest fashion brand (a feat it accomplished for the first time ever last quarter). Creative directorMatthieu Blazy’s work continues to drive consumer demand, the latest example being the launch of the Coco Beach and Métiers d’Art 2026 collections. Miu Miu climbed back up the ranks to second place, while Dior kept its position at number three.

Saint Laurent dropped two spots to number four, Gucci stayed in fifth and Prada jumped up one to rank sixth. Ralph Lauren, Burberry, Coach and Massimo Dutti (up eight points from last quarter) rounded out the top 10.
Phoebe Philo cracked the hottest brands list for the first time, landing at number 18, driven by a 29% increase in demand and reflecting growing momentum behind the designer’s retail strategy. Coming in at number 19 is Jacquemus, which re-entered the top 20 following a 20% increase in demand for the summer-friendly brand.
