Last month, Seattle Storm head coach Noelle Quinn learned she was fired after after almost a decade with the organization. The Storm finished with a second-consecutive first-round exit, and the WNBA’s 7th-best record.

Still, it didn’t take long for Quinn, a 12-year WNBA veteran and longtime Storm coach, to find a new head coach position.

On Thursday, Unrivaled — the 3-on-3 professional women’s basketball co-founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart — announced that Quinn will be one of 8 head coaches in the league’s second season.

Quinn joins Unrivaled after eight season’s on Seattle’s coaching staff, including five years as head coach.

In addition to Quinn, the league has three new head coach additions: Chicago Sky assistant Rena Wakama, New York Liberty assistant Zach O’Brien, and Connecticut Sun assistant Roneeka Hodges.

In a press release, Unrivaled general manager Clare Duwelius praised the new coaching staff additions.

“We’re thrilled to add such exceptional talent to our head coaching roster in our second
season, elevating the strong foundation established by our inaugural coaching staffs
across Unrivaled,” Duwelius said.

Alongside them, coaches from last season are returning for a second season at Unrivaled: Liberty Director of Player Development Andrew Wade, NBA skills coach DJ Sackmann, Dallas Wings assistant Nola Henry, and former Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon.

Two coaches — Adam Harrington and Phil Handy — have departed Unrivaled after one season.
