“Which one of us is the murderer…?” Maybe it really was one of them? Peacock has unveiled a teaser trailer for their new remake of the movie The ‘Burbs, the 80s comedy classic with Tom Hanks & Bruce Dern. This brand new series also called just The ‘Burbs is another bizarre choice to remake the same as the Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead movie last year. Set in present-day suburbia, The ‘Burbs follows a young couple returning to the husband’s childhood home. Their world is upended when new neighbors move in next door, bringing old secrets of the cul-de-sac to light, and new deadly threats shatter the illusion of their quiet little neighborhood. The exceptional cast is what will get people: Keke Palmer, Jack Whitehall, Julia Duffy, Paula Pell, Mark Proksch, Kapil Talwalkar; along with guest stars including Haley Joel Osment, RJ Cyler, Justin Kirk, Kyrie McAlpine, and many others. This is ready for streaming on Peacock in early February if anyone is interested to find out. Or maybe go rewatch the original movie instead – it’s a fun one.
