Here’s a spoilers-filled recap of what all happened in General Hospital’s January 2 episode. The New Year started with growing tensions among the Port Charles residents, as Sidwell approached Charlotte and Ace with an indirect threat. Plus, Michael raged when Sonny tried to warn him.

Spoilers recap for what happened on General Hospital on January 2, 2026

Breakfast at the Quartermaines’

Molly woke up at the Quartermaines’ mansion, where Cody surprised her with breakfast. Their romantic moment ended abruptly when Felicia and James unexpectedly showed up. Felica said that she preponed James’ riding classes, but after looking at the couple, she awkwardly offered to reschedule. 

Laura Received Orders

Charlotte volunteered to watch Ace and took him to the park. Soon after they left, Ezra arrived with orders from Sidwell. He conveyed that Sidwell demands helicopter pads on the piers. However, Laura turned it down, noting that it would breach several violations. Ezra insisted that she make it happen nonetheless.

Jordan Confided in Curtis

After Jordan and Curtis woke up, they assured each other about taking their relationship seriously. They then headed to Bobbies, where Jordan confided in Curtis that she loves her current job with Sidwell. But she assured him that it was only for the time being until they could bring him down.

Meanwhile, Sidwell and Marco were on the other side of the hotel, discussing that Drew’s trial may pose problems for them. Still, Sidwell felt confident with his hold over Laura.

Charlotte’s Creepy Encounter

Outside of the hotel, Sidwell and Marco ran into Charlotte and Ace. Following a brief conversation, Sidwell advised Charlotte to keep an eye on the little boy, as children tend to go missing quite often. After the kids left, Sidwell told Marco that they could use Charlotte to force Valentin to work with them.

When Charlotte returned home with Ace, she told Laura about the conversation with Sidwell, which left her feeling worried.

Incoming Troubles for Michael

Sonny cautioned Michael about the trial, saying that both Alexis and Justine would target him in court. Michael snapped and said that his kids deserve to learn the truth about their mother. He also acknowledged that he knew that Sonny suspects him of shooting Drew.

At her house, Alexis plotted to target Michael based on an anonymous tip. When Kristina showed up at the house, she briefly looked at Alexis’s notes and confronted her for planning to shift the blame to her brother. Alexis responded by saying that she is prioritizing Scout’s safety.

Meanwhile, Justine and Dante also prepared to defend their claims against Willow. Justine then admitted that she still doesn’t know what Curtis was doing with Selina Wu that night.
