KATSEYE member Lara took to WEVERSE to respond to comments people have been making about her body.

On January 6, 2026, Lara wrote a private message to fans, addressing rumors, per an updates account. She wrote, “I need to say that it is comical to me how some of you think you can get away with insulting/spreading harmful misinformation about people I love and care for on MY page,” vowing that the comments would be deleted and blocked.

Further, Lara then sent another message revealing that she “saw so much disgusting chat” around her body during the tour. “Some [people] are so afraid of a healthy female body; it’s hilarious… get a grip,” she wrote. She continued with a note on body positivity, “I love my body and always will, and you should love yours too! We should celebrate each other!”

Lara, known for her trendy style, isn’t one to shy away from body positivity and dressing in a way that embraces it. For KATSEYE’s Teen Vogue cover story last year, she said, “Some days I love to be super feminine and I love to show a bunch of skin and really be super girly. And then some days I love to be more masculine, baggy clothes, and really have my tattoos out.”

Confidence is one of the groups per leader Sophia, “As much as we love to try new things, every single one of us is true to ourselves, and we always make sure that we’re confident and we feel good. I think that’s what makes whatever you put on make others feel like they’re going to feel the impact and the intention.”

With diet culture subtly sneaking its way into many aspects of pop culture lately, especially social media, calling it out and countering with body positivity is important. A celebrity with a following like Lara’s doing so is all the more impactful.

KATSEYE is already set to have a packed 2026. The group will be performing at Coachella soon and was just confirmed for The Governors Ball in New York. So, there will be plenty more empowing looks and likely words to come.
