Though the launch of Battlefield 6 has been one of the smoothest in the history of the franchise, that doesn’t mean it didn’t have its fair share of hiccups along the way. While there were a few issues, like long queue times to get into Battlefield 6 at launch, one platform was hit the hardest by far.

Drastically overshadowing Call of Duty‘s peak player count on Steam, it’s honestly surprising there weren’t more issues on the platform overall, with most of them relegated to other digital storefronts. While it’s impressive that Battlefield 6 managed to break several unfortunate launch traditions relating to poor hit registration and server stability, EA App players weren’t so lucky this time around.

Battlefield 6 Had A Rough Launch On The EA App

Despite being the official first-party way to play Battlefield 6 on release, the EA App version of the game had a disastrous launch in comparison to its relatively smooth Steam and console counterparts, with players entirely unable to access the game for significant portions of time.

With many players desperately trying to fix the problem and not fall behind despite having pre-ordered and even pre-installed the game before launch, there has been an understandably high amount of frustration with Battlefield 6 over the critical failures.

While Battlefield Studios was able to get the EA App version of Battlefield 6 up and running several hours after launch, it’s not hard to see why players would be so upset if they missed their only window to play on release after waiting patiently for so long.

EA App Players Are Getting An Abundance Of Free Rewards

In order to make up for the excessive launch issues for the EA App version of the game, all players affected by the issues will be receiving a plethora of in-game rewards that will go a long way to go for reaching the same ranks as other players. Rather than offering some free skins or other unhelpful cosmetics, Battlefield Studios is issuing a hefty amount of XP boosters to help level the playing field.

In total, affected players will be receiving 12 60-minute Double XP boosters, 12 60-minute Double XP Hardware Boosters, alongside free access to the first Battle Pass releasing in a few weeks as part of the Battlefield 6 roadmap.

Even if it can’t entirely make up for missing the exhilarating launch window, these rewards are more than enough to help players level up fast in BF6 and catch up to the rest of the community.

While the details of the future Battle Pass additions are still relatively vague at this point, Phantom Edition owners are getting even more goodies by unlocking the second Battle Pass for free as well, going a long way to win back any goodwill lost from the release of Battlefield 6.
