Ben Johnson wins a game and loses his shirt after Bears-Eagles

The Chicago Bears just delivered their first true statement win of the 2025 NFL season.

Ben Johnson’s charges entered Week 13 sitting atop the NFC North with an 8-3 record, but facing questions over just how good they really are. Counted among Chicago’s wins are victories over the Raiders, the Commanders, the Saints, the Giants, the Bengals (without Joe Burrow), the Vikings, and the Steelers (without Aaron Rodgers). In addition, each of those wins — save for the win over New Orleans — came via one score.

So Friday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles was perhaps their biggest test yet, as the Bears had to go on the road and take on an Eagles team desperately looking to bounce back after a loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.

Final score: Chicago 24, Philadelphia 15.

In the locker room after the game, Johnson addressed his team, and then lost his shirt:

As the kids say, the vibes are immaculate.

This was a statement win from the Bears, who now have a positive points differential after weeks of that metric sitting in the red. More importantly, this young team has yet another reason to believe in themselves, going on the road to knock off the defending Super Bowl Champions in a game that the Eagles truly needed to win.

Chicago’s schedule down the stretch is one of the toughest in the NFL, as the Bears have to play the Packers twice, the 49ers, and the Lions in addition to their game against the Browns. But with a win like this — and a coach like Johnson — the Bears fan in your life has reason to believe.

Delhi Capitals pacer Kyle Jamieson was pulled up by the Indian Premier League for his animated send-off towards Rajasthan Royals batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during their clash in Jaipur on Friday.

The Kiwi pacer had managed to get the 15-year-old opener bowled on just his second ball of the innings, after conceding a boundary off his first ball.

The league has given him a demerit point and a warning for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. Jamieson was found to have breached Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct, which relates to “using language, actions or gestures which disparage or which could provoke an aggressive reaction from another player in the match.”

Jamieson admitted to the offence and accepted the sanction imposed by the match referee, Rajeev Seth, the statement added.
