BTS’s Jimin Recommended These Sheet Masks Three Years Ago—I Haven’t Used Anything Else Since

There are few people I trust for a skin-care recommendation, but BTS member Jimin is one of them.

Content creators can’t convince me, my friends try to no avail, and my family doesn’t make the cut either. I put my faith in estheticians and dermatologists—and Jimin from BTS.

Yes, skin care is different for everyone, and considerations should be made on a case-by-case basis. It just so happens that my strongest case, however, is based on a particularly convincing sound bite from Jimin. In a Vogue video three years ago, the K-pop star vehemently vouched for the Mediheal Tea Tree Essential Face Mask. He said it was the one thing he always travelled with because of how dry it can get in hotels.

I had just experienced acne and dry patches from a new face wash I had tried, so I thought to myself, “Why not?” and picked up a box. I put a sheet mask on while watching my favorite show, still slightly skeptical that it would provide me any relief. Like most face masks, it left me nice and glowy. I went to bed expecting it to be gone by the time I woke up. The glow had definitely toned down, but the softness it brought to my skin was still there, and most notably, my acne had shrunk and was healing without scarring. I tried it a couple more times and realized this was my new go-to, and it has been for the past three years.

According to Allure, tea tree oil is similar to benzoyl peroxide but less drying. It’s often thought that oily skin is prone to acne, but those with dry skin can also find themselves dealing with acne. Having excessively dry skin can lead to more oil production, which can also lead to breakouts. That’s why it’s always important to use a moisturizer after cleansing.

The Mediheal Tea Tree Essential Face Mask gives me the best of both worlds: a more gentle acne treatment and hydration. I used to buy sheet masks like you do gum at the store. They were easy to grab, usually affordable, and something to do when feeling chill. But no particular option ever left me wanting to go back to it. Instead, I was always inclined to try a new one.

After learning about the Mediheal Tea Tree Essential Face Mask, though, I haven’t picked up any other sheet mask since then. I can also vouch for the Mediheal Tea Tree Trouble Pad for everyday use too.

Recently, I was able to truly put Jimin’s recommendation to the test. With a lineup of back-to-back travel and big events on my schedule, I had to have faith that my Mediheal Tea Tree Essential Face Masks would pull through as my skin became increasingly upset from all the environment changes. I found myself with three new zits just a couple of days before a party.
