Deadspin | Adley Rutschman hits 2 of Orioles’ 6 homers in rout of Red Sox Apr 24, 2026; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman (35) greeted by outfielder Taylor Ward (3) following his two-run home run during the first inning against the Boston Red Sox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mandatory Credit: Mitch Stringer-Imagn Images Adley Rutschman hit the first of his two two-run homers in Baltimore’s three-homer first inning and the Orioles went on to rip the visiting Boston Red Sox 10-3 on Friday. Rutschman, who has three home runs in two games since being activated from the injury list earlier this week, finished with six RBIs. The Orioles blasted six home runs — four of them solo blasts. Gunnar Henderson began the homer parade on the second pitch of the bottom of the first, and Rutschman and Dylan Beavers joined him with long balls in the inning. Samuel Basallo and Coby Mayo later went deep. Taylor Ward went 4-for-4, Basallo added four hits and Beavers joined Rutschman with three hits apiece. Orioles starter Brandon Young (2-0) got plenty of support in his second big-league outing of the season, lasting 5 2/3 innings and allowing three runs on seven hits. He struck out five and walked one. Wilyer Abreu hit a homer for Boston in the second inning, and he, Marcelo Mayer and Trevor Story each finished with two of their team’s 10 hits. The Red Sox, coming off a three-game sweep by the visiting New York Yankees, have lost four games in a row. Boston starter Brayan Bello (1-3) was hammered for eight runs and 13 hits — including five homers — in 3 1/3 innings. He walked one and struck out two. After the four-run first inning, the Orioles scored at least one run in each of the next four innings. Rutschman’s two-run shot in the first inning, RBI fielder’s choice in the second, two-run homer in the fourth inning and run-scoring single in the seventh accounted for his big night. Orioles relievers Yennier Cano, Andrew Kittredge and Cameron Foster combined for 3 1/3 shutout innings out of the bullpen. Kittredge was in his first outing of the season after rehabbing with Triple-A Norfolk. The Red Sox loaded the bases with no outs in the ninth off Foster but didn’t score. –Field Level Media #Deadspin #Adley #Rutschman #hits #Orioles #homers #rout #Red #Sox

#Justin #Verlander #FirstBallot #Hall #Famer">Is Justin Verlander a First-Ballot Hall of Famer? Earlier this month Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander announced he will be retiring at the end of the year. He’s the active leader in career wins, but sitting at 266 wins he is going to fall short of the 300 win mark. So will any other pitcher EVER get to 300 wins? #Justin #Verlander #FirstBallot #Hall #Famer

India’s Honor of Kings squad for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 was announced on Tuesday, with Ainul ‘Senpai’ Haidery leading the team in the tournament scheduled in Riyadh later this year.

NODWIN Gaming, India’s National Team Partner for the Nations Cup, announced the full team, which will compete between November 2 and 29 in Saudi Arabia.

Led by Revenant Xspark’s Ainul ‘Senpai’ Haidery, one of India’s leading Junglers, the team also features one of the country’s finest Clash Lane players in Deadshot. The duo recently won the Bengaluru leg of the Kings Arise India City Tour. Gradyano Valendy (Rinnqt), who was previously appointed as the team’s head coach by NODWIN, will oversee India’s preparations for ENC 2026.

“The Honor of Kings esports scene in India has grown tremendously in a short span of time, and this roster reflects the depth of talent that has emerged across different organisations. Representing India at the Esports Nations Cup is both an honour and a responsibility, and every player understands what this opportunity means,” Senpai said.

“We want to deliver performances the community can be proud of, establish India as a strong competitor on the global Honor of Kings stage, and inspire more players to pursue the game competitively.”

The finals of Honor of Kings at ENC 2026 will take place from November 24 to 29, featuring 24 national teams competing for a prize pool of USD 1.32 million (~INR 12.5 crore).

A total of 64 countries and territories have officially submitted and confirmed their participation in the tournament.

Alongside India’s Special Invite, the Esports Foundation allocated 12 direct invitations through the ENC Ranking system, which aggregates points earned by players based on their performances in official Honor of Kings competitions until July 5, 2026.

The remaining nine qualification spots will be decided through regional online qualifiers, scheduled for July 18 to 19, while the final two places at the ENC Finals will be filled through wildcard invitations, comprising one Host Region slot and one Solidarity slot.

India has now secured representation in five titles at ENC 2026: Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), Chess, Honor of Kings, Trackmania and VALORANT. Similar to Honor of Kings, the nation has also earned a special invite in BGMI.

The country’s MOBA Legends: 5v5! squad also remains in contention for a direct invitation to the main event and, if required, will compete in the regional qualifiers scheduled for August 15 to 16.
