Rookie Bez Mbeng logged 27 points, 11 assists, 11 rebounds and three steals for his first triple-double. John Konchar registered a triple-double for a second straight game — the second and third of his career — finishing with 11 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and five steals. Kennedy Chandler added 26 points and 10 assists to help the Jazz (22-59) get in the win column for only the second time in 16 games. Oscar Tshiebwe had 16 points and a career-high 22 rebounds, and Ace Bailey chipped in 23 points and 10 boards. Dariq Whitehead led Memphis with a career-best 21 points. Rookie Toby Okani had a career-high 20 points and Adama Bel added 18 for the Grizzlies, who used just six players while losing their seventh straight game. Memphis (25-56) has two wins in its past 22 contests. Memphis’ Jahmai Mashack had 13 points, 15 rebounds, 12 assists and 10 turnovers. Rayan Rupert added 16 points and 12 rebounds, while Lucas Williamson chipped in 13 points and 13 boards. Utah outscored Memphis 50-26 in the paint in the first half while shooting 59% from the field. That production around the rim, coupled with active hands on defense, helped the Jazz pull away to a 74-52 lead at the break. Konchar had a pair of blocks and steals to fuel a 21-5 second quarter run that put the Jazz up 55-39 midway through the quarter. Utah scored on four straight possessions at the end of the run, highlighted by back-to-back baskets from Cody Williams. Memphis cut the deficit to 61-46 on a putback layup from Williamson before Utah ripped off an 11-2 run. Hinson sandwiched the run with a 3-pointer and a reverse layup. His last basket put the Jazz up 72-48 with 1:31 left before halftime. Utah increased its lead to 44 points early in the fourth quarter. The Jazz went on a 15-0 run spanning the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth to go up 118-74.
