Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Val Chmerkovskiy is calling out one of the contestants on Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

The ABC competition show is airing on Monday nights this summer on ABC. The show will name one of the hopeful contestants as the next pro dancer for season 35 of DWTS, which will begin airing in September. We do not yet have the lineup of dancers who will return from season 34 yet either, by the way.

Val Chmerkovskiy called out AJ Pritchard

If you don’t know, AJ is a past pro dancer on a different ballroom competition show: the BBC One series Strictly Come Dancing. Val allegedly did not like the way AJ behaved with his partner this past week, Selena Hamilton.

“It makes good TV at his expense. I guess that’s how I want to say it,” he said on the Stepping on Toes podcast. “I wish he wrapped that arrogance into a little softer presentation.”

Val continued, “I understand if he’s coming in with this feeling of like…I’m not gonna say entitlement, I don’t want to use that word. But if he comes in with not a chip on his shoulder, but kind of like, ‘What am I even doing here? Why do I have to go through this process if I already know I’m good enough and I already did this.’ I can appreciate that, but dude, then don’t sign up for the show.”

Who will be on Dancing with the Stars season 35?

We currently know of four celebrities who are confirmed to compete, and two say they were asked to join.
