Well, it looks like we’re getting “Ghostbusters: Night Shift” a lot sooner than we had initially expected, as Netflix announced earlier this month that the new animated series is coming in 2027, and with that, we have some artwork from the in-development show to share, which should make fans excited to see more.

Netflix’s official animation account on social media posted two first-look images (a still and concept artwork) from Sony Pictures Animation‘s “Ghostbusters: Night Shift,” and this marks the first animated effort since 1997’s “Extreme Ghostbusters,” which was a minor follow-up to “The Real Ghostbusters” (helped really push the franchise merch sales into the stratosphere via toy sales connected to the popular show that debuted in the 1980s).
