How Oliver Hudson Is Keeping His Kids From Becoming “Entitled”

When it comes to parenting, Oliver Hudson learned from the best.

The Sibling Revelry podcast host offered insight into how Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell raised him—along with his siblings Kate Hudson, Boston Russell and Wyatt Russell—to keep their priorities in line while growing up in Hollywood.

“It starts within the four walls of your home,” Oliver, 49, told E! News in an exclusive interview at Make-A-Wish’s annual Wish Gala in Los Angeles Dec. 5. “It doesn’t matter what any outside perspective is, how famous you are, how much money you have. When it’s just you and your family is what really matters.”

The Happy Gilmore 2 actor—who presented his mom with the Power of a Wish Award at the event—commended Goldie, 80, and Kurt, 74, for their parenting, noting that it was “very important for them not to have entitled children.”

And as a father himself to kids Wilder, 18, Bodhi, 15, and Rio, 12, with wife Erinn Bartlett,  Oliver—whose biological dad is Bill Hudson—has followed his parents’ example while bringing up his own family.
