How To Find the Missing GIF Keyboard & Add It on Your iPhone?

GIFs are a great way to make your chats more lively and fun. They could even depict your response or brighten up your conversation. But sometimes, the GIF keyboard suddenly disappears from your iPhone. If you can’t find it anymore, there are a few quick settings you can check. Here’s how to find and restore your missing GIF keyboard easily.

Find the GIF Keyboard on iPhone

Even though it might seem like your GIF keyboard has disappeared, Apple hasn’t actually removed it from your phone. If you see a smiley face icon instead of the globe below your keyboard, it usually means the GIF keyboard is disabled. But thankfully, even when it’s disabled, you can still access GIFs through the plus (+) menu next to the text field in Messages. iOS updates sometimes change the location of GIFs, making them harder to find.

Follow these steps to make your GIF keyboard appear under the globe icon:

  1. Make sure the GIF keyboard you want is installed from the App Store.
  2. Open Settings, go to General, then Keyboard.
  3. Tap Add New Keyboard and choose your GIF keyboard from third-party options.
  4. Turn on Allow Full Access for the keyboard.
  5. Now, press the globe icon on your keyboard to switch to the GIF keyboard whenever you want.

If you don’t want to use the globe icon, there’s another way to find GIFs. Just tap the plus (+) icon next to the text box in Messages. Then scroll through the available apps or options until you see your GIF keyboard. Apple might have changed its location in updates, but it’s still easy to access your GIFs.
