Anyone even vaguely familiar with Meghan Markle’s jewelry collection knows that it includes pieces with ties to Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Diana. But the Duchess of Sussex’s jewelry box isn’t just filled with royal heirlooms.

Markle also collects contemporary pieces carrying more personal and astrological references, most notably from Los Angeles jeweler Logan Hollowell. Her family appears across rings and necklaces through zodiac constellations and birthstones. Prince Harry is represented by Virgo, an earth sign associated with loyalty and a penchant for order. Prince Archie gets Taurus, another earth sign that craves structure and is known to have a taste for the finer things in life. Princess Lilibet adds Gemini, the curious, social and quick-witted air sign. Markle’s own fiery Leo sign is accounted for, too.

As Markle celebrates her 45th birthday Tuesday, WWD takes a closer look at her zodiac- and birthstone-inspired jewelry, from a $21,150 emerald-and-diamond necklace to an eternity band with hidden family references.

Meghan Markle’s Leo Constellation Ring

Markle’s own sign gets nine diamonds.

Markle first wore the Logan Hollowell design during a Veterans Day visit to Camp Pendleton on Nov. 8, 2023, then returned to it for the Sussexes’ Australia visit in April 2026.

Priced at $2,195, the 14-karat gold ring sets nine round white diamonds totaling 0.36 carats along Leo’s outline. Rather than keeping the stones in a conventional row, Hollowell moved them above and below the band and linked each point with narrow gold bars.

Meghan Markle’s Virgo Constellation Ring

Harry’s sign gets nine diamonds, too, but Virgo carries a little more weight — quite literally.

Like Markle’s Leo design, the ring uses nine round white diamonds, but its total comes to 0.45 carat. That extra 0.09 carat adds $600 to its price tag; Logan Hollowell’s Virgo Diamond Constellation Ring currently retails for $2,795, compared with the Leo version, which retails for $2,195.

The ring, which features diamonds branching across two fine lines of 14-karat gold, had already been in Markle’s collection for more than two years when she brought it to Australia alongside her own Leo constellation ring. She was first documented wearing it on her left pinky at Netflix’s “The After” L.A. Tastemaker event in Montecito on Nov. 15, 2023, one week after her Leo ring appeared during the visit to Camp Pendleton.

Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s Constellation Necklaces

Among the more elusive pieces in Markle’s collection are the Logan Hollowell constellation necklaces representing her children. She layered the Taurus and Gemini designs for her since-deleted 40th birthday video in August 2021, and neither seem to have been seen publicly on the Duchess since.

Archie’s Taurus necklace hung lower in the stack. Priced at $1,600 at the time, the 14-karat gold design mapped his sign in round white diamonds connected by fine gold bars. The current version retails for $2,395, with 0.40 carat of diamonds spread across a pendant measuring 27mm wide and less than 10mm high.

Lilibet’s Gemini necklace sat above it. The piece cost $1,785 in 2021 and now retails for $2,650. Its 0.42 carat of white diamonds covers a taller constellation measuring 30mm wide and nearly 19mm high.

Meghan Markle’s Lovers Duet Necklace

Another piece of jewelry featuring Archie’s birthstone appears in the most expensive Logan Hollowell piece of the lot. Markle first wore the jeweler’s $21,150 Lovers Duet Diamond and Emerald Chain Necklace at the Lost Screen Memorial in Geneva on May 17, two days before her eighth wedding anniversary — which has some royal fans speculating that it was an anniversary gift from Prince Harry.

The design pairs an approximately 1.30-carat oval Colombian emerald with an approximately 0.90-carat Asscher-cut white diamond on a diamond-cut link chain. The oval emerald sits beside the square, step-cut diamond. Together, the stones total approximately 2.20 carats.

Markle most recently wore the necklace at back-to-back “Cookie Queens” screenings in Los Angeles and Ojai, Calif., on July 28 and 29. While it is unclear whether the necklace was intended as a reference to Archie, its inclusion of an emerald, the birthstone for his May birthday, makes it worth including here.

Meghan Markle’s Hidden Birthstone Eternity Ring

Markle’s most private family reference came from Lorraine Schwartz. Prince Harry commissioned the bespoke eternity band to celebrate both their first wedding anniversary and Archie’s birth in May 2019, working with the jeweler to place three birthstones beneath its row of conflict-free white diamonds.

An olive-green peridot represented Markle’s August birthday, while a blue sapphire stood for Harry’s September birthday and a green emerald marked Archie’s arrival in May. All three sit on the underside of the band, hidden against Markle’s finger when she wears it.

The ring captured the Sussex family as it existed in 2019, just a little over a month after Archie was born. Lilibet, born two years later, is not included in the reported design. Markle wore the eternity band publicly for the first time at Trooping the Colour on June 8, 2019, adding it to her wedding and engagement rings.
