‘Love on the Spectrum’ Stars Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman Split After Nearly 5 Years of Dating: Reports

Love on the Spectrum couple Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman have split after nearly five years together.

According to multiple reports, Abbey, 27, and David, 31, have gone their separate ways after meeting on a July 2021 blind date during season 1 of Love on the Spectrum, which aired on Netflix in May 2022.

Us Weekly has reached out to reps for comment.

Fans quickly fell in love with the pair as they documented their relationship over the course of four seasons on the reality show.

A slew of breakups rocked the celebrity world throughout 2026, beginning with Bill Hader and Ali Wong in January. That same month, The Real Housewives of New York City alum Kelly Bensimon announced that she’d recently split from her boyfriend. On March 1, The Bold and the Beautiful alums Darin Brooks and Kelly Kruger split […]

When season 4 premiered earlier this month, Abbey hinted at taking things to the next level with David as she expressed her desire to get engaged, asking her mother, “What if he gives me a wedding ring?”

While some viewers hoped the clues meant a proposal was imminent for the beloved couple, others noticed Abbey and David had been appearing in each other’s Instagram and TikTok posts less frequently as of late.

David most recently showed up on Abbey’s social media in December 2025, when she documented their trip to Universal Studios and shared a highlight reel of moments from the past year. Meanwhile, Abbey appeared to spend Christmas with David as he captioned a photo of the two at the time, “I hope everyone has a great holiday with family, friends and loved ones.”

Since rising to fame on Love on the Spectrum — which follows people with autism as they navigate the dating world — Abbey and David have spoken on several occasions about their plans to settle down in the future.

“We [are] gonna get engaged someday,” David exclusively told Us Weekly in October 2024. “[Abbey] likes all the things I like and she tries new things too. She is loving and kind … and she is beautiful and makes me feel like a prince.”

Abbey added at the time, “[We’ll] get engaged someday … [right now] we’re having a blast.”

The following year, Abbey shared an update on her relationship with David, revealing why they weren’t in a hurry to tie the knot.

“We have fun together and do things we both love like going to the Los Angeles Zoo and Griffith Observatory,” she exclusively told Us in October 2025. “We want to take our time getting married because I don’t want to be a divorced lady like my mom.”

Despite the fact that Abbey and David had been together for four years at that point, she confessed the two still dealt with relationship issues from time to time.

“We are working on our communication skills because we have different kinds of autism,” she explained. “I am a Gestalt learner and think in memories, and he is very patient with me, and we are still working hard on understanding each other.”

Abbey also revealed how her and David’s love story had impacted viewers.

“Fans say that David and I inspire them and that we help them believe in love,” she noted. “That is amazing. There was a time when I didn’t think I would ever be with someone and those days are over. I want everyone to find love.”
