With the holidays now in the rearview mirror, it’s time to think about your New Year’s outfit, and if you are in need of last-minute ideas, Malia Obama has the perfect inspiration.

Earlier this month, photographer and director Aidan Cullen shared throwback photos from Stella Banderas’s wedding on his Instagram account, including a snap of Malia Obama’s outfit for the occasion, which doubles as perfect inspiration for New Year’s if you still don’t know what to wear.

ICYMI: Stella Banderas married Alex Gruszynski in Valladolid, Spain, this past October in a star-studded but super private celebration. Among those invited were the Obama sisters, and Malia chose a black lace maxi dress for the occasion, which she paired with black sandals and a chic black pedicure.

Obama’s dress appears to be from the Ibiza-born, London-based brand De La Vali. It features rose appliqué lace detailing, a semi-sheer ruffled skirt, a backless halterneck, and a fishtail skirt with a godet and front split. (You can see Malia Obama wearing the dress here.)

The dress was the star of the show, and Obama kept her glam simple, wearing her copper hair loose and adding brown-lined nude lip.
