Meryl Streep Brings Oprah and Queen Camilla’s Go-to Shoe Brand Sole Bliss to ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Press Tour

Meryl Streep is walking into her second chapter as Miranda Priestly in comfort at the forefront. The press tour for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is just gearing up, and the actress has already been spotted wearing high heels from Sole Bliss on more than one occasion.

Streep and her costar Anne Hathaway attended a press conference for the film at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on Wednesday in Seoul, and for the event, Streep wore the Sole Bliss Riviera gold leather sandals. The Riviera platform high-heel sandals were designed for bunion sufferers and were part of the Sole Bliss x Micaela Erlanger Collection.

The platform stilettos are handcrafted from a soft luxe gold leather and feature three layers of underfoot cushioning for comfort and support. The shoes also feature the brand’s Bunion Bed stretch panel cushions that conceals bunions or difficult joints, while a generous 1.25 inch platform and shock-resistant rubber heel piece helps offset the lofty five-inch stiletto heel.

The shoes feature an adjustable ankle strap with five holes, a soft wide strap with a high topline that covers the front of the foot, and a deeper, wider toe box that eases foot crowding and disguises the appearance of bunions. The sandals retail for $399, and are available in black, sand, royal blue suede, hot pink suede, and silver leather.

She styled the heels with a red Prada look for the Seoul stop of the press tour, giving fans the ultimate “full circle” fashion moment. Styled by Micaela Erlanger, Streep arrived for the fan event showcasing modern power dressing in a custom two-piece Prada suit.

The suit consisted of an off-the-shoulder belted blazer and matching wide-leg trousers. The look is arguably the most definitive “Miranda” look of the tour so far. The Academy Award winner also wore the black suede version of the Sole Bliss Riviera for the first premiere of the movie in Mexico City on March 30. She paired them with a Schiaparelli maxi shirtdress with gold-tone metal jeweled buttons for the event.

While she plays an editor in chief of the fictitious magazine “Runway” in the fashion-focused films, Streep and her stylist have kept it simple with her footwear during the press tour. For an appearance in Mexico, she opted for the Aldo’s Amilie Slingback High Heel in medium red, which retail for just $110, proving that style can be affordable, comfortable and also accessible.
