Mindy Kaling is keeping the clear shoes trend alive and well as she promotes her upcoming new Hulu series “Not Suitable for Work.” The showrunner went to “Good Morning America” in New York City on Tuesday wearing an ornate pair of transparent pumps from Christian Louboutin.

Kaling modeled the French luxury brand’s Degraqueen pumps featuring a PVC upper with crystal embellishments scattered across it. The clear portion was contrasted by silver, and naturally the label’s signature red sole added a pop of color across the bottom. In terms of shape, the pump featured a classic pointed toe, low vamp and slender stiletto heel.

Kaling’s shoes complemented a vibrant yellow midi dress by Simkhai which was fitted and adorned with floral appliqués along the bottom portion of the skirt.

Kaling often reaches for heels by Christian Louboutin. For example, she wore black crystal-trimmed pumps with a Cong Tri minidress to the 2026 WWD Style Awards, where her stylist Erin Walsh was honored with the Red Carpet Style Maker award.

Mindy Kaling said of Walsh for a profile on the stylist related to the honor, “First of all, this b—h can dress. Everything Erin wears at a styling fitting, I just wind up buying. Erin doesn’t just style me, she gets me. She knows when to push, she knows when to protect me, and she knows when to say ‘trust me.’ And I always do.

Kaling added, “Erin is responsible for some of the most glamorous moments of my entire life. But what is so remarkable is that I always feel like myself. She doesn’t try to make me look like something else.”
