Netflix has announced the release dates of two returning hit TV shows, revealing when two of the streamer’s most popular shows will be coming back.

What two Netflix shows just got returning release dates?

Up first for Netflix is Season 7 of Virgin River, which is set to premiere on March 12, 2026, on the streamer. Patrick Sean Smith will act as showrunner, and the series stars Alexandra Breckenridge, Martin Henderson, Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Mark Ghanimé, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. Season 6 of the series released on Netflix on December 19, 2024.

The series originally premiered in 2019 on Netflix and follows the story of Melinda “Mel” Monroe, who moves to the remote Northern California town of Virgin River to work as a midwife and nurse practitioner. The series follows the everyday happenings of the town, and how Monroe acclimates and develops relationships with those in it.

Alongside the news, Netflix also announced that Sweet Magnolias Season 5 will release on June 11, 2026. Not too much else has been revealed about the series as of yet, but Netflix did note that Sheryl J. Anderson will be back as showrunner.

The series follows a group of best friends as they “juggle relationships, family, and careers in the charming small town of Serenity, SC and beyond,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

Sweet Magnolias is created and executive produced by showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson. The ensemble cast for the film includes JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Brooke Elliott, Heather Headley, Logan Allen, Anneliese Judge, Carson Rowland, Dion Johnstone, Brandon Quinn, Jamie Lynn Spears, and Chris Medlin with Justin Bruening.
