Nettspend Delayed His Album, but His Gucci Walk Will Tide You Over

Gunner Shepardson, a.k.a. Nettspend, is making yet another name for himself—this time, it’s in fashion. The Virginia-born rapper just stepped out onto the Gucci runway in Milan (not his first fashion show, though; he actually made his debut at Miu Miu in 2025), modeling a lavender snakeskin T-shirt and silver snakeskin pants. The look was accessorized with a Gucci fanny pack, which was slung across his chest, a silver watch, and black sneakers. He kept his signature black-and-blond chin-length hairstyle.

It’s no surprise to see him on the Gucci runway. Demna Gvasalia, who was appointed creative director of the brand early last year, has a penchant for merging musicians with fashion, something he did often at both Balenciaga and Vetements. This collection for Gucci was reminiscent of his work at those brands, particularly with the play on volume, oversize silhouettes mixed with super sleek ones.

At just 18 years old, Nettspend has gained a massive following. Between his song “Drankdrankdrank,” which went viral on Twitter in 2023, and his 2024 album Bad Ass F*cking Kid, he’s been decidedly controversial in the rap world, but fans are still clamoring for what’s next. On Instagram, just as he was walking the Gucci show, he posted a message to fans that his new album would be delayed until March 6. In the video, “Mike” says that “some things just don’t work out the way they’re supposed to.”

He has also invited fans to air their grievances, presumably anticipating that they won’t be thrilled. “If you’re upset, file a complaint here @ 1-804-ELC-6246,” the caption reads.
