The global superstar now stands alongside her husband Jay-Z, as well as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna in the exclusive club. Beyoncé’s ascent to billionaire status follows several years of blockbuster touring, strategic business moves, and major multimedia deals that have significantly expanded her earning power beyond music alone.

In recent years, Beyoncé’s financial growth has been fueled by record-breaking live performances and her ownership-driven business model through Parkwood Entertainment, the company she founded in 2008. World heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua narrowly escaped death on Monday after being involved in a serious road accident along the busy Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. The crash occurred at about 11:00 a.m. near Danco Filling Station, inward the Sagamu Interchange on the Ibadan axis, when a Lexus SUV conveying the boxer collided with a stationary truck. Joshua was travelling in a two-vehicle convoy, with a Pajero SUV carrying his security detail behind him. He reportedly sustained minor injuries, while two other occupants of the Lexus died at the scene.

Eyewitnesses said there were four people in the Lexus at the time of the accident, with Joshua seated behind the driver. Rescue efforts began immediately as bystanders mobilized to assist victims before officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) arrived to manage the scene and evacuate those involved. The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Babaseyi Oluseyi, and FRSC spokesperson, Afolabi Odunsi, later confirmed the incident, stating that investigations were ongoing and that more details would be released in due course.

The United States has offered Ukraine security guarantees lasting 15 years as part of a proposed peace plan aimed at ending the war with Russia, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Monday. Zelenskyy, who met U.S. President Donald Trump at his Florida resort on Sunday, said the offer was a step forward but stressed he would prefer a longer commitment of up to 50 years to deter future Russian aggression. Trump said Ukraine and Russia were “closer than ever before” to a peace settlement, though he cautioned that negotiations could still fail amid unresolved issues, including troop withdrawals and the future of the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
