Young Thug has publicly apologized to his girlfriend, R&B singer Mariah The Scientist, after leaked audio recordings revealed his past infidelity. The recordings, which surfaced on social media last week, included intimate phone calls made during the rapper’s incarceration from May 2022 to October 2024. In one viral clip, the Atlanta artist admitted to cheating on Mariah and initially lying about the timeline of the incident. “Wasn’t a minute ago, it was the day before I got locked up,” Thug confessed, acknowledging that the encounter happened just days before his arrest, not years prior, as he had previously claimed.
The controversy erupted further when another leaked call featured Young Thug professing love and discussing future plans with a woman who was not Mariah, and in yet another clip, he claimed to have been intimate with a correctional officer while behind bars. Amid growing backlash, Thug took to X (formerly Twitter) to publicly express remorse: “My baby I was wrong and I’m sorry for what I put u through… I hope I haven’t lost u forever.” Mariah responded indirectly by posting lyrics from her song “Rainy Days,” reflecting heartbreak and betrayal. The couple’s relationship has long been scrutinized, including a leaked jail visit in January and a physical altercation between Mariah and one of Thug’s exes last March.

A tense moment unfolded during Naira Marley’s recent concert when a fan unexpectedly stormed the stage in what appeared to be an attempt to attack the singer. The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, showed the Marlian Music boss mid-performance as a man suddenly charged toward him in front of a stunned crowd.
Swift action by security personnel, including Naira Marley’s associate Sam Larry, prevented the situation from escalating. The intruder was quickly restrained and removed from the stage, allowing the concert to continue without further disruption. In response, Naira Marley took to X (formerly Twitter), posting the video with a humorous caption: “The moment I got attacked on stage, see baba oniru re.” People have since called the artist out, claiming the attack was staged.

At least 19 people have been killed and over 100 injured after violent clashes broke out between protesters and security forces in Kathmandu, Nepal, on Monday. The unrest followed the Nepali government’s controversial decision to block major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and rising public anger over entrenched corruption. What began as a peaceful youth-led demonstration at Maitighar Mandala quickly spiraled into chaos, with protesters storming the Parliament compound and facing a forceful police response involving tear gas, rubber bullets, and live ammunition.
The demonstration, dubbed the “Gen Z protest,” drew thousands of mostly young people, including students in school uniforms, who demanded accountability and transparency from the government. Organized by youth-led nonprofit Hami Nepal, the protest was catalyzed by years of unresolved corruption scandals, a lack of political inclusion for the younger generation, and the abrupt enforcement of the social media ban on September 4. “It was unprecedented,” said Aayush Basyal, a 27-year-old student who attended the protest. “But by 1pm, it was chaos.” As of Monday evening, a strict curfew has been imposed across multiple areas of Kathmandu, including near Parliament and the presidential residence.

Joe Budden and Kylie Jenner may be called to testify in the upcoming defamation trial between rapper Megan Thee Stallion and blogger Milagro Gramz, according to a court filing submitted on September 5 in the Southern District of Florida. The trial, set to begin on November 17, stems from Megan’s lawsuit accusing Gramz of spreading false and damaging claims related to the high-profile 2022 criminal trial involving Tory Lanez.
Megan, real name Megan Pete, alleges that Gramz’s social media commentary caused substantial harm to her reputation and career. “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment and misinformation,” the Grammy winner said earlier this year. Other individuals listed as potential witnesses include Tory Lanez, his father Sonstar Peterson, Megan’s former label head Carl Crawford, and media personality Jason Lee. Jenner’s involvement in the case traces back to the July 2020 pool party at her Los Angeles home, where the now-infamous shooting occurred. Budden, a vocal podcaster who has previously commented on the trial, may also be called to testify regarding public discourse surrounding the case.

Chelsea’s growing injury crisis has deepened with the news that midfielder Dario Essugo has suffered a thigh injury while on duty with Portugal’s Under-21s. The 20-year-old, who joined the Blues from Sporting CP in June for £18.5 million, was pushing for more minutes under new boss Enzo Maresca but now faces a spell on the sidelines just as he looked set for a bigger role.
The Portuguese FA confirmed on Monday that Essugo sustained a muscle issue in his right thigh after training and has been withdrawn from the squad. “The athlete was evaluated by the Portuguese Football Federation’s Health and Performance Department and was declared unavailable,” read their statement. The setback comes at a difficult time for Chelsea, who are already without Cole Palmer, Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, Liam Delap, and Benoît Badiashile. With a key Premier League clash against Brentford looming after the international break, Maresca may be forced to dig even deeper into his depleted squad.
