They’re back. Three years after their August 2023 collab sold out in just an hour, Sandy Liang and Baggu are rolling out their second collection on June 3 at 9 a.m. PST — and we think they exceeded expectations with this drop. The 16-piece collection features Liang’s nostalgic bows, stars and plaid across new Baggu Market Bags and classic styles fans know and love.

Influencers have already started sharing their gifted hauls on social media and it seems the buzz for these two brands hasn’t died down. In the comments of videos from @libbymay, @sushirollangel and @torikohrt, shoppers appear to be most excited about the Baby Bow Baggu ($20) and the Dopp Kitt ($40) in pink, plus the fan-favorite Crescent Bag ($64). I have my eye on the Mini Nylon Market Bag ($68).

I also think the Cloud Carry-On ($96) would make a great summer work bag.

Others are going crazy for the Large Nylon Market Bag ($84), which comes in both pink and blue plaid. In an interview with Baggu, Liang shared her inspiration for the collection. “The market plaid is so important to me and feels so right for me because I grew up with my aunts and uncles and my grandma with all these bags,” she said. “I think it’s just a fun take on a bag I’ve seen in Chinatown and grew up with.”

She also spoke about the other two prints in the collection, Terminator Bunny and Folding Stars, which are available across the Go Pouch Set ($54 for three pouches), Standard Baggu Set of 3 ($54) and Puffy Glasses Sleeve ($24).

“Terminator Bunny [came] from me wanting to make my own little character for fun one season,” she said. “And so we drew up this bunny… I watched the ‘Terminator’ movies a lot growing up because I grew up with an older brother, and when I first did the Terminator Bunny it was a piece of jewelry with red crystal eyes like the Terminator. I love this print because it’s an ode to canal street and playing with that.”

The Folding Stars print is a recreation from her Fall/Winter 2025 collection. “I feel like so many girls in the 2000s and ’90s folded stars,” she said. “That’s what I used to do a lot, and if you folded 1,000 stars, then you put them in a jar, you have a wish come true.”

On Wednesday, limited styles will be available at Liang’s Lower East Side store in New York City, with the full line on baggu.com.
