According to reliable sources close to the development, Shahid Kapoor is all set to start shooting for director Amit Ravindranath Sharma’s next, Adal Badal, from October 2026. “The film is produced by Sunir Kheterpal with Amazon MGM, and is scheduled to kick off in October 2026. There was back-and-forth about taking on the project due to the budget, but everything has aligned now. Shahid Kapoor has signed the film for a sum of Rs. 18 crores, in addition to a sum reserved in the backend if the film makes a profit,” a source told Bollywood Hungama.
The source also informed that Shahid will be paired with Janhvi Kapoor in the film. “It’s a first-time pairing, and the duo are excited to start shooting for the film from October 2026. The film is based on the concept of soul swapping, and is touted to be a mad-cap entertainer,” the source tells us further.
The casting for other key characters is presently underway.

For many months, it has been speculated that Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna play a lesbian couple. On this, Dinesh Vijan said, “I want Rashmika to explain. There are a lot of rumours that you and Kriti are a couple in the film. Do you want to clear that right now?”
Before Rashmika could answer, Kriti Sanon said, “I think the rumours are coming from one place only,” hinting at Shahid. The dashing actor was surprised and stated, “I didn’t say anything, guys! Why would I do that? Kahan se aa rahe hai yeh rumours? Kaun faila raha hai?”
Kriti Sanon then revealed when she first met Rashmika Mandanna, “We first met when we worked out together in the same studio. I literally died because she works out like a beast (laughs)! I really didn’t know that.”

Homi Adajania revealed, “This is where the rumour came from. We were all sitting together on the sets. They get very cuddly with each other because they are friends. We just hypothetically thought that what if the story was about them, with Shahid being the third wheel? I just said ‘I don’t mind making a film like that’.”
Dinesh Vijan interrupted, “Guys, we were supposed to clear this out! As you see in the trailer, there are two love stories. Purana love, naya love aur yeh ‘luv’ (pointing at Luv Ranjan)! Aur kisika love nahin hai picture mein!”

आईएएनएस से बातचीत में कृति सेनन ने कहा, ‘सच कहूं तो ‘कॉकटेल’ के दौरान ही ऐसा हुआ था जब मैं बहुत स्ट्रिक्ट डाइट और कंसिस्टेंट वर्कआउट रूटीन पर थी और पहली बार मैंने कैलोरी-डेफिसिट डाइट फॉलो की, जो मैंने पहले कभी अपनी जिंदगी में नहीं किया था।
हम इटली के सिसिली में शूट कर रहे थे और वहां खाने की बात करें तो ज्यादातर पिज्जा, पास्ता, पिज्जा वही सब होता है। और मैं बस सोचती रह जाती थी।’
