NFL kickers are getting better and better.

The latest example comes to us courtesy of Cam Little of the Jacksonville Jaguars. In a game that has lacked offensive firepower, the Las Vegas Raiders took a 6-0 lead on a touchdown pass from Geno Smith to Brock Bowers with just 35 seconds remaining in the first half.

But that was all that Little and the Jaguars needed to get on the scoreboard.

Bhayshul Tuten returned the ensuing kickoff 30 yards to the Jacksonville 31-yard line, giving the Jaguars hope of salvaging points before halftime. After a short completion gained just a yard, Trevor Lawrence connected with Parker Washington for an 18-yard gain to get Jacksonville right to midfield.

But the clock was running, and the Jaguars were out of timeouts.

Lawrence managed to get the offense lined up, and spiked the ball with five second left. Rather than attempt a Hail Mary, Liam Coen called on Little to try a 68-yard field goal.

Little drilled it, setting a new NFL record in the process:

Tsitsipas showed plenty of potential when he ‌broke through eight years ago but since reaching the finals of ​the French Open in 2021 and Australian Open in 2023 he has struggled to deliver a sustained run of ⁠form.

A niggling back injury derailed the second half of his 2025 campaign and while he began this year saying his goal was just to ‌feel competitive again, his only decent run came in Doha where he reached the quarterfinals.

Questions have been asked about his professionalism, with Goran Ivanisevic, who coached him in 2025, saying after the Greek’s first-round exit at Wimbledon last year that he had not seen a more “unprepared player” in his life.

Before Munich, Tsitsipas said he would consider playing more ‌ATP 250 tournaments to regain his rhythm. The Geneva Open is the only tournament ​at that level ahead of Roland Garros, which begins on May 24.

“I’m a player that needs matches, I’m a player ⁠that needs to play a lot of sets to feel my game ⁠better, and this is something I might need to do in the next couple of weeks,” he added.

“I’m expecting to play ‌a lot of tournaments, I want to get a lot of tournaments under my belt, but of course be careful where I ​choose my tournaments and when I get to play.”

Bangladesh fast bowler Rubel Hossain announced his retirement from international cricket on Thursday.

The 36-year-old right-arm pacer picked 193 international wickets across formats in a career spanning more than 12 years. He played 27 Tests, 104 ODIs and 28 T20Is for Bangladesh.

“We thank fast bowler Rubel Hossain for his service to Bangladesh cricket. Rubel Hossain, Bangladesh’s hero in some of the country’s most memorable victories, has announced his retirement from international cricket,” the Bangladesh Cricket Board said in a statement on social media.

Rubel last represented Bangladesh in international cricket back in April 2021, during a T20I against New Zealand.

His 6/26 against New Zealand in 2013 are still the joint-best bowling figures for a Bangladeshi bowler in ODI cricket, and his 129 scalps in the format are the third-most for a pacer from his country.

Rubel had an impressive ODI debut, picking 4/33 against Sri Lanka in 2009—the fifth-best bowling figures by a Bangladeshi on one-day debut. His Test debut in 2009 was also memorable as it marked Bangladesh’s first-ever Test win against West Indies. Rubel nabbed three wickets in that historic triumph.

His last appearance in competitive cricket was in January 2025, during a Bangladesh Premier League match.
