Return of the Zuck. Deadline reports that Aaron Sorkin is set to write and direct The Social Network Part II for Sony Pictures. This news comes 15 years after the release of the Oscar-winning original which was directed by David Fincher. According to the report, Sorkin’s script is inspired by The Wall Street Journal’s The Facebook Files, a series of articles published in October 2021 that explored the harms caused by the social network.

Now, the big question: Will Jesse Eisenberg return as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg? That seems unclear at the moment. It’s unknown how significant a role Zuckerberg has in this story, or whether Sorkin has even been in contact with the actor. That said, can you really imagine anyone else taking on the role?
