Brand-new Mega Evolutions have been revealed for Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, and those specific announcements should have you extremely excited about what else may be in store for the upcoming content. While the DLC had been announced before the game’s release, Nintendo recently revealed the release date for the Mega Dimension DLC. The content was moved up from its initial February release estimate to December.
Along with its new release date, two brand-new Mega Evolutions were revealed for the DLC: Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur. Neither of these Pokémon had Mega forms previously, and they will debut in the additional content. As was the case with the base game, you can expect many other new Mega Evolutions in Pokémon Legends: Z-A’s Mega Dimension DLC, though Nintendo has yet to make the announcements official.
Legends: Z-A DLC Leaks Have Proven To Be Accurate With New Reveals
Mega Chimecho & Mega Baxcalibur Give The Leaks More Credibility
While Nintendo hasn’t showcased more Mega Evolutions, in addition to the previously teased Mega Raichu forms, there had already been Mega Evolution leaks for Mega Dimension. In these leaks, a series of Pokémon are listed as candidates for new Mega Evolution forms in the DLC, and among them are Chimecho and Baxcalibur. The recent announcement of Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur proves that at least a part of the leak is accurate.
The other listed creatures set to receive new Mega Evolution forms, according to the leak, are Absol, Staraptor, Garchomp, Lucario, Heatran, Darkrai, Golurk, Meowstic, Crabominable, Golisopod, Magearna, Original Color Magearna, Zeroara, Scovillain, Glimmora, and Tatsugiri’s three forms. With this leak, it’s implied that some Pokémon who already have Mega forms, like Mega Garchomp in Legends: Z-A, will get yet another Mega Evolution.
Expect Great New Mega Evolutions In Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Mega Dimension
Some Fan-Favorite Pokémon Are Listed In The Leak
Even though the rest of the leaks have yet to be verified, the confirmation that Mega Chimecho and Mega Baxcalibur will exist in Mega Dimension gives them a lot more credibility. The base game’s leaks proved to be accurate, too, so the hopes are high for these DLC leaks. I’m particularly excited about seeing new Mega Evolution forms for fan-favorite creatures like Absol, Garchomp, and Lucario.
Additionally, the rumors about Mega Evolutions for the Legendaries, Heatran and Darkrai, and the Mythicals, Magearna and Zeraora, sound particularly exciting, as these creatures already have incredible designs. The only concern is that their designs may disappoint, like Mega Victreebel – though they could prove to be just as cool as Mega Froslass in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, for example.
The leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but seeing that they stem from datamines and past leaks have proven to be accurate, it’s impossible not to create some hype around these potential Mega Evolutions. For now, Mega Dimension is the only announced DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and it’s unclear if the Gen 9 game will receive any further content.
