सुनवाई के दौरान पति की ओर से प्रस्तुत अधिवक्ता ने दलील दी कि मामला केवल दंपती के विवाद तक सीमित नहीं है, बल्कि गर्भ में पल रहे बच्चे के भविष्य से भी जुड़ा है। ऐसे में दोनों पक्षों के बीच सुलह का प्रयास किया जाना चाहिए। कोट ने इस सुझाव को स्वीकार करते हुए अगली सुनवाई 5 जून को निर्धारित की। उसी दिन महिला की मेडिकल जांच रिपोर्ट भी सीलबंद लिफाफे में कोर्ट के समक्ष पेश की जाएगी।
