इस गोल के साथ ही रोनाल्डो फीफा वर्ल्ड कप के इतिहास में पुर्तगाल की ओर से सबसे ज्यादा गोल करने वाले खिलाड़ी बन गए हैं। इस मामले में उन्होंने युसेबियो की बराबरी की है। युसेबियो ने साल 1966 के वर्ल्ड कप में कुल 9 गोल किए थे। वहीं, रोनाल्डो ने अबतक 10 गोल पुर्तगाल के लिए किए हैं। इस मामले में उन्होंने युसेबियो को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। रोनाल्डो ने यह गोल 2006 से 2026 वर्ल्ड कप के दौरान किए हैं।

पहले हाफ में रोनाल्डो ने दागे दो गोल

पुर्तगाल और उज्बेकिस्तान के खिलाफ खेले जा रहे मैच में रोनाल्डो ने मैच के छठे मिनट में पहला गोल दागा और फिर 39वें मिनट में अपना दूसरा गोल करके विरोधियों को करारा जवाब दिया। रोनाल्डो के इस शानदार खेल और नूनो मेंडेस के एक गोल की बदौलत पुर्तगाल की टीम ने मैच के हाफ-टाइम तक उज्बेकिस्तान पर 3-0 की बेहद मजबूत बढ़त बना ली। अब पुर्तगाल की टीम इसी दबदबे को दूसरे हाफ में भी बरकरार रखना चाहेगी।

टूर्नामेंट के पहले मैच में रोनाल्डो नहीं कर पाए थे एक भी गोल
