10 Major Masters Of The Universe Movie Characters, Ranked By Power Level

10 Major Masters Of The Universe Movie Characters, Ranked By Power Level

Warning: Spoilers for Masters of the Universe

Masters of the Universe marks the first time audiences have seen He-Man on the silver screen for almost four decades. Nicholas Galitzine stars as Adam, surrounded by a great cast featuring many fan-favorites from the previous movie of the same name and the TV shows.

Critical reception has been mixed, but we thoroughly enjoyed Masters of the Universe 2026. One performance many cite as a highlight is Jared Leto’s portrayal of Skeletor. The villain is often melodramatic and theatrical. Leto manages to capture those mannerisms while making Skeletor still seem formidable and evil.

The power levels of each character in Masters of the Universe are difficult to quantify because multiple versions exist. For example, we have the beloved 80s cartoon and the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series. What’s more, several characters in the 2026 movie look and act differently from what fans may have grown accustomed to from past portrayals.

While the new adaptation does take some liberties, it is largely consistent with how most of the heroes and villains are typically perceived, or at least in terms of their respective threat levels. The film mostly focuses on a small selection of characters, and several classic Eternian warriors, such as Ram Man and Fisto, are featured in the roster. However, their power levels are trickier to quantify as they don’t have much combat time in the spotlight.

10

Roboto

Roboto looks quite different in the 2026 movie compared to the show. In the latest Masters of the Universe, Roboto is a large, hulking robot with strength surpassing that of any human.

Later in the movie, we see Duncan installing a chip to make Roboto combat-ready, complete with projectile weapons. Despite Roboto’s strength, Trap Jaw destroys the robot with a salvo from his flying ship. Only Roboto’s head survives, which Man at Arms saves for later.

In the movie’s final scene, we see that Duncan has rebuilt Roboto, complete with a transparent front panel and visible cogs. It’s one of many subtle nods to the source material, as the character is often seen with a clear torso, although the design remains quite different.

9

Ram Man

Adam talking to the masters of the universe with ram man in the middle in masters of the universe

Ram Man (Jon Xue Zhang) is a mainstay of the show and one of He-Man’s most trusted allies. As his name and design imply, he uses his helmet and incredible strength to ram through his opponents to devastating effect.

In a faithful nod to the show, we see Ram Man jump and launch himself headfirst into combat. The character is far stronger than any regular human but finds himself low on the list, as many other characters in the 2026 movie are far more powerful.

Ram Man is never portrayed as a skilled commander or a tactician. Still, his unique ability makes him invaluable at breaking down barriers and defenses, as seen in the latest film, where he breaks down the prison cell door.

8

Fisto

Fisto about to punch an enemy in masters of the universe

Like Ram Man, Fisto (Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson) does not appear prominently in the latest film, so it’s hard to gauge his strength or how he would fare against other top-tier heroes or villains.

Nevertheless, Fisto is an incredibly powerful fighter, far stronger than any regular human. He’s not a magical character and relies heavily on his destructive punching power. We see him fend off many of Skeletor’s fighters, which is something he is also known for in the show.

Fisto’s design has seen several iterations in the show. Interestingly, one episode in the 2002 series shows that his hand is large and human. It’s later replaced by a mechanical fist, although its origins are not fully explored in the 2026 movie.

7

Duncan (Man-At-Arms)

Duncan, aka the Man-at-Arms, is exceptionally strong in the Masters of the Universe movie and plays a pivotal role in the story. He also provides Adam with some moral support when he needs it the most.

We see Duncan in action early on. He trains Eternian warriors from a young age and effortlessly beats numerous enemies as he ushers a young Adam and his parents to safety. He clashes with Trap Jaw in a brutal 1v1 showdown, but his cybernetic opponent emerges victorious.

Despite that loss, the Man at Arms rallies and beats his rival in an encounter later in the movie. He’s a powerful fighter and a proven tactician with extensive military training.

6

Trap Jaw

Trap Jaw unleashing an attack in Masters of the Universe

Trap Jaw is a recurring Masters of the Universe villain, with several intense fights to his name in the 2026 title. While the Man-at-Arms ultimately defeats him by the end of the film, Trap Jaw beats him in his prime early on.

We don’t see too many of the franchise’s villains for prolonged periods in the movie, but Trap Jaw is a consistent threat. He’s a dangerous opponent with an interchangeable hand that swaps between a gun and a large hook. It’s also part of his kit in the show.

As Duncan did defeat Trap Jaw at the end of the movie, you could argue that he is stronger. Still, Trap Jaw has proven to have inhuman resilience in situations where one of He-Man’s allies may not survive.

5

Teela

Camila Mendes as Teela in Masters of the Universe

Teela (Camila Mendes) is one of the strongest fighters in the latest Masters of the Universe movie. She’s a formidable hand-to-hand combatant with a staff, and she’s extraordinarily agile. We also see her battle Evil-Lyn in a 1v1 fight, even if Evil-Lyn survives the encounter and escapes.

Teela is a unique character on this list because her power level fluctuates massively based on what lore you reference. She’s a character whose power level has only increased over time, and that’s something we could potentially see if we ever get a Masters of the Universe 2. Teela is one of the most talented Eternian fighters and the captain of the Royal Guard.

4

Evil-Lyn

Evil-Lyn (Alison Brie) is an interesting character in the 2026 movie. We see that she’s a respected and capable magic-user, second only to Skeletor. She’s loyal to her master, but we also see cracks forming in their relationship as Skeletor is cruel to her in several scenes.

During the movie, we see Evil-Lyn use magic to restrain He-Man, which is on brand for the character. She wouldn’t last long in a fair, physical fight with anyone on this list, but she’s also smart and cunning enough to ensure she never has to.

Evil-Lyn is often portrayed as a weaker magic user than Skeletor. However, she’s also more calculating, which could make her even more deadly in certain situations.

3

Skeletor

He-Man is an unrivaled physical powerhouse, but one of the few characters that can rival him in any way is Skeletor. The legendary villain is a devious, deadly magic user. His power comes from his mastery of magic and how he never engages in a fair fight.

We see this character trait many times in the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe series and also in the 2026 film. Skeletor is a master of controlling the situation and manipulating the odds, while He-Man fights fairly in comparison.

Skeletor is sometimes a source of comic relief in the latest movie, but we always know he’s dangerous, forcing the heroes of Eternia into hiding for 15 years in Adam’s absence.

2

The Sorceress

The sorceress guarding the sword of power in masters of the universe

The Sorceress (Morena Baccarin) is an enigmatic character in Masters of the Universe. She’s an all-knowing and wise magic user, pointing our heroes in the right direction. She’s also extraordinarily powerful, but there’s a catch. The Sorceress’s power is tied to Castle Grayskull itself. She must stay inside the castle walls, and her power starts to dwindle if she does not.

The character is more of a mysterious being, almost a spiritual guide, in Masters of the Universe 2026. She helps He-Man when he needs it the most, offering hints and solutions in an almost overseeing role. The Sorceress doesn’t fight directly in the movie, but it’s clear she’s highly respected and has unrivaled knowledge.

1

Adam (He-Man)

Unsurprisingly to anyone who’s watched the TV shows or the movies, He-Man is the strongest character in Masters of the Universe. When Adam transforms into He-Man, he channels the power of Grayskull, making him far stronger than any other fighter on Eternia.

During the movie, we see He-Man perform incredible physical feats, but the power of Grayskull gives him so much more than that. As we’ve previously mentioned, power levels and strength wildly vary based on the lore you reference. For example, in the Filmation series, evil forces set the moon onto a collision course with Eternia. He-Man is so strong that he hurls a rock full of explosive liquid at the moon so hard it corrects its orbit.

He-Man evidently possesses unrivaled physical strength. He can take down scores of enemies at once, and we see him make a mockery of Trap Jaw’s power. If the battle is on an even playing field, He-Man will emerge the victor almost 100% of the time.
