Horror Video Shows Former Beauty Queen Shot Dead in Front of Baby As Husband’s Chilling Reaction Sparks Fury

A bone-chilling video has captured the moment a young mother and former beauty queen is allegedly executed inside her own luxury home, with her baby just steps away, in a case that is sending shockwaves across Mexico.

Carolina Flores Gomez, 27, who was crowned Miss Teen Universe Baja California in 2017, was gunned down on April 15 inside her apartment in the upscale Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City.

Police have identified her mother-in-law, Erika Herrera, as the prime suspect.

The disturbing footage, obtained by a Spanish-language outlet, shows Gomez inside her home wearing a white-patterned robe, walking through a living room filled with signs of family life, a playpen, stroller, and children’s toys visible in the background.

Herrera can be seen following closely behind her as the two move toward the back of the apartment.

Then, without warning, a gunshot rings out.

A scream follows, then several more shots echo through the home.

Moments later, Gomez’s husband, Alejandro Gomez, enters the frame holding the couple’s baby.

“What was that?” he asks in Spanish.

“What did you do, crazy?” another voice can be heard shouting.

“Nothing,” Herrera responds calmly. “She made me angry.”

The exchange that follows has left viewers stunned.

“What’s wrong with you? She’s my family,” the son says after realizing what has happened.

“You’re mine and she stole you,” his mother replies.

The video ends shortly after, leaving a haunting final glimpse into the moments following the killing.

Authorities in Mexico City have opened an investigation into the shooting, but have yet to announce formal charges.

Officials have confirmed Herrera is the primary suspect, while also raising questions about the timeline of events, particularly why the fatal shooting was not reported until the following day.

The delay has become a focal point of the case.

Gomez’s mother, Reyna Gomez Molina, told media that her son-in-law hesitated to contact authorities out of concern for the couple’s infant child, fearing the baby could be taken into foster care.

The revelation has only deepened public outrage, with many questioning both the response to the crime and the circumstances that allowed such a violent act to go unreported for hours.

The killing has shocked communities across Mexico, not only for its brutality, but for the deeply personal nature of the alleged motive, a family dispute that ended in deadly violence inside what should have been a safe home.

As the investigation continues, the haunting footage remains at the center of the case, a stark and unsettling record of a tragedy that unfolded in front of a child who will now grow up without a mother.
