A lady came in with a pretty amateur-looking painting she had made of a dog.
Customer: “What kind of paint can I buy to make it look more realistic?
Me: “Hmm, well, looking at this, it doesn’t necessarily need a specific kind of paint, but some shading and texture. If you—”
Customer: “—I did all that!”
Instead, I bring her to the instructional book area.
Customer: *Offended.* “I don’t want a book! I want paint to make it better!”
Me: “We don’t really sell those.”
Customer: “Ugh! Who does?”
Me: “I don’t think anyone does.”
Customer: “Why?”
Me: “Because you want self-painting paint.”
Customer: “Ugh! Useless. I’m gonna go try Blicks!”
