बुधवार दोपहर करीब 3 बजे रेस्क्यू टीम के टावर टेक्नीशियन राजा पवार, पुलिस आरक्षक नितेश रघुवंशी और संदीप नामक युवक ऊपर चढ़े थे। राजा पवार को देखते ही बुजुर्ग ने लोहे की रॉड से हमला करने की कोशिश की, लेकिन राजा ने फुर्ती दिखाते हुए रॉड छीनकर नीचे फेंक दी। इसके बाद संदीप की मदद से बुजुर्ग को काबू कर उनके हाथ-पैर रस्सी से बांधे गए। दोनों ने करीब एक घंटे तक बातचीत कर बुजुर्ग को शांत किया और पानी पिलाया।
