Adwoa Aboah and Cou Cou are linking up on a Mental Health Awareness Month tee that turns the unsaid into a slogan.
Adwoa Aboah, model and Gurls Talk founder, and intimates label Cou Cou are dropping a T-shirt that reads “Out of Order.” The collab with Dover Street Market London is tied to Mental Health Awareness Month, with profits going to Aboah’s nonprofit.
Gurls Talk exists for candid conversation about mental wellbeing among young women and girls, and the slogan picks up where the conversation leaves off. “Out of Order” reads like a small public confession, a refusal to perform composure when life isn’t behaving. Aboah and Cou Cou founder Rose Colcord are British women whose work both circles women’s health, and the partnership lines up cleanly. Cou Cou brings the non-toxic, organic basics. Aboah brings the conversation.

The conversation carries into the campaign imagery. Photographer Zora Sicher shot Aboah in Los Angeles for a set of intimate portraits, the visual companion to the tee’s blunt slogan. Around the launch, Aboah is hosting a run of talks on mental health and what it means to feel “out of order,” a space carved out for women to drop the act.

The drop lands April 30 at Cou Cou and Dover Street Market London, with an in-person event at Rose Bakery on May 16. All profits go to Gurls Talk.
