The creator of the sci-fi series Silo is set to adapt another literary trilogy for Apple TV.

Over the years, Graham Yost has worked on shows like Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Justified, The Americans and Slow Horses. In 2022, he created the sci-fi series Silo, which adapts Hugh Howey’s trilogy of novels. The third season is currently streaming weekly on Apple TV.

Yost will be staying put at Apple TV for his next project, as Variety reports that Colson Whitehead’s Harlem trilogy will be turned into a TV series for Apple TV. The Silo creator and American Gun‘s Aric Avelino are on board as creators as well as executive producers with Whitehead, Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak and Melissa Bernstein. Development on the TV adaptation is still in its early days, so additional details like casting will come at a later point.

The book trilogy consists of Harlem Shuffle, Crook Manifesto and Cool Machine, which were released from 2021 to 2026.

The other day, President Barack Obama released his annual summer reading list, and the 2026 edition includes Cool Machine, along with Tayari Jones’ Kin, Elizabeth Strout’s The Things We Never Say, Michael Pollan’s A World Appears, Ann Patchett’s Whistler, Beverly Gage’s This Land is Your Land, George Saunders’ Vigil, Camille Bordas’ One Sun Only, Vincent Yu’s Seek Immediate Shelter, Roopika Risam’s Data Empire and Ben Lerner’s Transcription.

More to come…
