SAVE $87.04: As of June 10, the Sony ULT Field 5 is down to just $242.95 at Amazon, a 26% drop from its list price of $329.99. That’s a new record-low price for the speaker.

Just two months ago, Sony added the ULT Field 5 to its speaker lineup. Just a month later, Amazon dropped its price by 25%. Now another month has passed and, keeping with the pattern, the price has dropped once again.

As of June 10, you can pick up the Sony ULT Field 5 at Amazon for only $142.95. That’s 26% off its list price of $329.99 and a new best-ever price for the speaker.

While we haven’t had a chance to do hands-on testing with the ULT Field 5, Mashable’s Deputy Reviews Editor Miller Kern spent some time with the ULT Field 1 and ULT Field 3 and is impressed with the speakers as a whole. The entire lineup was designed for bass lovers. So, if heavy bass isn’t your cup of tea, the ULT Field 5 (or any of the ULT Field speakers for that matter) is probably not for you.

The Field 5 is completely waterproof, dust-proof, and rust-proof, with an IP67 certification. It can stand vertically or lay horizontally to suit your space and comes with a removable shoulder strap. While still technically a portable speaker, it’s a bit on the hefty side (about 7.3 pounds) and “would be better for more stationary uses like house parties,” Kern writes. The Field 5 also packs a slightly longer battery life than the smaller Field 3 (25 hours versus 24), has more customizable audio, more output, deeper bass, and fun party lights.
