Enrage Black Man Punches A Random White Man Because He Thinks He Was On The Karmelo Anthony Jury

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — In a brazen act of misplaced rage caught on video, a Florida man cold-cocked a seated white veteran in the face on Wednesday, wrongly accusing him of serving on the jury that convicted

Karmelo Anthony in the stabbing death of a Texas high school student, then threatened his life with the chilling words: “You gonna die.”The shocking clip, shared widely on social media before being taken down, shows the attacker, identified as 32-year-old Anson Antonio Holmes Jr., approaching the older man relaxing on a sidewalk, filming the whole encounter like it was content for his followers.

“Hey, what you on jury selection? No he wasn’t — he was on juror’s selection,” the suspect rants in the video, according to subtitles and witness accounts. He then hauls off and punches the unsuspecting victim square in the face.

After the blow, as the victim reels, Holmes continues his tirade: “You gonna die.” He later mutters something along the lines of “my bad” upon realizing his mistake.

The assault happened in Florida, more than 1,000 miles from the Texas courtroom.

The victim, a local veteran minding his own business with a cup in hand, had zero connection to the high-profile case. He stood up after the unprovoked hit and walked away with a woman who appeared to be with him.

The incident comes just days after a Collin County, Texas, jury convicted 19-year-old Karmelo Anthony of murder and sentenced him to 35 years in prison for the April 2025 stabbing death of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at a Frisco track meet. Anthony, who was 17 at the time, claimed self-defense after a confrontation under a rival school’s tent during a rain delay. Jurors rejected that, along with a “sudden passion” argument that could have slashed his sentence.

The Texas trial sparked a heated online debate, with critics pointing to the all-non-Black jury and claims of racial bias. Anthony’s supporters cried foul; others called it straightforward justice for a brutal killing.

Holmes, reportedly on felony probation since 2015, turned the verdict into street-level payback against the wrong guy in the wrong state.
