Sylvanie-Imagn Images<!-- --> <!-- --> </span></div></section><section id="section-1"> <p>Utah defenseman Sean Durzi drew a $5,000 fine Monday for head-butting Vegas defenseman Rasmus Andersson on Sunday night.</p> </section><section id="section-2"> <p>The incident occurred during a scrum late in the first period in the Golden Knights’ 4-2 home win over the Mammoth in Game 1 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series.</p> </section><br/><section id="section-3"> <p>Durzi received a two-minute minor penalty for roughing on the play. He’s played in 12 NFL seasons since he was drafted in the second round (62nd overall) by the New England Patriots in 2014 out of Eastern Illinois.</p> </section><section id="section-3"> <p>Rams coach Sean McVay expressed public interest in potentially bringing back Garoppolo as Matthew Stafford’s backup during this month’s NFL meetings in Phoenix.</p> </section><br/><section id="section-4"> <p>Of Garoppolo’s 85 games played and 64 starts, 57 and 55 of those came with the San Francisco 49ers, who acquired him via trade in October of 2017.</p> </section> <section id="section-5"> <p>He started all 16 regular-season games of San Francisco’s 2019 season, throwing for 3,978 yards and 27 touchdowns while leading the 49ers to a 13-3 record and a 31-20 Super Bowl LIV loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in February of 2020.</p> </section><section id="section-6"> <p>Over his 12 seasons, Garoppolo has completed 67.4% of his passes for 15,828 yards, 96 touchdowns and 52 interceptions for the Patriots (2014-17), 49ers (2017-22), Raiders (2023) and Rams (2024-25).</p> </section><section id="section-7"> <p>–Field Level Media</p> </section></div> #Deadspin #Report #Veteran #Jimmy #Garoppolo #retirement
