Fashionista's June Shopping List: 21 Items Our Editors Love

Occasionally, we use affiliate links on our site. This in no way affects our editorial decision-making.

Team Fashionista is summermaxxing: Our PTO is booked, our vacation responders are set and our summer wardrobes are officially restocked.

This June, our editors welcomed soaring temperatures with a breezy lace-trim blouse, a neon halter top, paracord-adorned jorts, a linen matching set and a nostalgic floral tee. Our standout footwear finds included shoes for every summertime activity: strappy heeled sandals for happy hour, ballet sneakers for Eurosummer travels and waterproof hiking boots for all-day excursions. A suede shoulder bag, a BookTok-inspired locket and a sleek leather clutch also stood out as our must-have warm-weather accessories.

Ahead, see (and shop!) all of our editors’ favorite fashion discoveries from June.

Rixo Ellery Cotton Blouse, $220, available here: “Breezy cotton blouses are all I want to wear when it’s hot out, and this one is full of cute details — lace trim, structured pleating, flouncy oversized collar, elasticized puff sleeves — that lend an interesting, vintage-y feel.” —Steph Saltzman, Beauty + Style Director

Gu Lace Up Ballet Sneakers, $40, available here: “My love for ballet sneakers knows no bounds. I can never have too many, it seems. What I didn’t have was a pair in grey/silver, a color all the cool girls seem to be wearing. I bought these affordable ballet-style sneakers from Gu, Uniqlo’s younger (sometimes cooler) sister brand. They were so comfortable (especially for a non-athletic brand) and saved my feet last week when I was walking 10,000-plus steps in Paris.” —Elizabeth Denton, Deputy Content Editor

Almina Concept Classic Round Neck Tank, $68, available here:
“I make a real effort to invest in basics that will last a long time, but as a clumsy person, I do have to replace my white items slightly more frequently than others. Thankfully, this 100% cotton tank by Almina concept, a brand known for its high-quality, elevated wardrobe staples, rings in under $70 (and looks like it costs much more).” —Dhani Mau, Editor in Chief

Barbour Maia Check Showerproof Trench Coat, $400, available here: “I fell in love with this checkered (Prince of Wales check, to be specific) trench coat a few months ago, but ultimately decided against adding it to my (rather overstuffed) outerwear wardrobe. I’ve regretted leaving it behind ever since, so I finally pulled the trigger on my recent trip to London. Although the mere thought of a winter coat currently sends beads of sweat down my back, I’ll be wearing this chic belted trench on repeat once sweater season arrives.” —Catie Pusateri, Staff Writer

Alex + Ani “A Court of Thorns and Roses” Velaris Heart Locket Necklace, $58, available here: “‘ACOTAR’ has become near and dear to my heart. Wearing this heart necklace is a physical manifestation of those feelings. And yes, the quote on the back of the locket definitely got me in my feels. (Side note: If Cassian dies in the upcoming book, we ride at dawn!)” —Janelle Sessoms, Staff Writer

NiiHai Tess Top in Lemon, $72, available here: “It’s a neon kind of summer — at least in my playbook. In my mission to incorporate more color into my wardrobe, and with an insane amount of luck, I came across this NiiHai top on Depop back in February. The slouchy fit in pale yellow goes perfectly with low-rise jeans or black capris. It’s also come in handy during the FIFA World Cup: Since most nations’ team colors are yellow, and I don’t own a Brazil or Colombia kit, it’s become my makeshift jersey for repping national pride.” —Neia Dizon, Editorial and Multimedia Intern

Alex Mill Marie Dress in Linen, $195, available here: “It’s tough to beat Alex Mill when it comes to well-constructed, thoughtfully designed basics. This linen dress — with a simple square neckline, adjustable straps and a playful scoop back – is no exception. I’d like it in every color so I can wear it every single day, if I’m being honest.” —Steph

Baggu I Love NY Nylon Pochette, $48, available here: “Maybe it’s because I miss my 16+ years in New York City or I just love the iconic graphic, but Baggu’s new I Love NY collection really spoke to me. I got the sleek, compact Pochette because I needed something small enough to be stadium-approved but spacious enough to hold a few of my essentials. I love that it has interior slots for cards, so it fits a surprising amount.” —Elizabeth

Mango x Eckhaus Latta Neoprene Sandal With Straps, $180, available here:
“I thought it was a cool move for Mango to collaborate with Eckhaus Latta and while browsing the collection I discovered my new go-to ‘ugly’ sandals for summer. I love the sporty look and the straps ensure my feet stay secure while walking — a great marriage of style and practicality.” —Dhani

Inez Gia Sandals, $285, available here:
“I haven’t had much luck with heeled thong sandals, but this minimalist pair is actually comfortable without sacrificing style. I particularly love the cherry red shade, which adds a playful pop of color to my monochromatic outfits. Plus, these sandals have survived multiple subway rides and a surprise rain storm without sliding off my feet.” —Catie

Oura Ring 5, $399, available here: “I’ve been manifesting getting an Oura Ring for months, and finally the universe has answered my prayers. A few weeks ago, the brand kindly gifted me one at an event, and I haven’t taken it off since. I love how it tracks over 50 health metrics — including stress levels, sleep activity, cycle tracking, body temperature and heart rate — to give me a better understanding of my wellbeing. (Note to self: the sleep score can use some improvement.) Even with its high-tech capabilities, I’m very impressed by how lightweight it feels. Another bonus? It’s completely waterproof.” —Janelle

Merrell Women’s Moab 3 Waterproof, $160, available here: “There’s truly nothing that screams summer to me more than a good hiking trip that has you silent in the car ride back home as crisp AC hits your face. I’m an enthusiast of all things offline, and these shoes are now my holy grail after a six-hour hike through rocky terrain and streams. And, fun fact, they hold the same reliable traction when crossing the icy road at Union Square in New York. (Points for duality!)” —Neia

Dissh Sian Dusty Blue Silk Organza Midi Skirt, $204, available here: “The sheer trend just makes sense for summer, and I’m finally getting into it with this layered skirt. Dress it down with a T-shirt and flat sandals or up with heels and some chunky jewelry, and it’s a perfect simple-but-fun outfit. I also love the pastel periwinkle color.” –Steph

Margesherwood Grandma Buckle Suede Shoulder Bag, $495, available here: “While in Seoul last fall, I splurged on this Margesherwood bag (it’s cheaper in Korea!) and I’ve been completely obsessed with the brand since. Seoul-based designers Sungeun Um and Soonyoung Kim are so creative and I get compliments on my bag even in the coolest spaces. They recently launched bag rings (literally rings for your bag) and I’m drooling over them from afar.” —Elizabeth

Sezane Anissa T-Shirt in Floraline Print, $60, available here: “As someone who almost never wears color or print, I can’t explain what came over me when I saw this shirt, because I instantly needed it. I love the boat neckline and low-cut back, but I’m obsessed with the floral pattern. There’s definitely a nostalgia aspect, as it looks like something little Dhani would’ve freaked out over in a Limited Too or Delia’s catalog in the ’90s.” —Dhani

Knix Super Leakproof Mini Dream Boxer, $48, available here: “Knix’s boxers are my go-to pajama shorts regardless of what time of the month it is, but when it’s that time, they boast an absorbent built-in, leak-proof liner. Knix recently launched an even shorter pair (in this flirty leopard print!), which has come in handy during New York City’s sweltering heatwaves. Also, don’t worry about condemning these boxers to the period panty drawer — just throw them in the wash and they’re as good as new.” —Catie

Skims Ultimate Teardrop T-Shirt Bra, $64, available here: “I have to give Skims its 10s with this one. This has truly become my everyday bra: It’s breathable, doesn’t shift throughout the day, looks super smooth under my clothes and avoids any boob spillage.” —Janelle

Claudent Button Up Shirt UPF +50, $295, available here: “Allow me to highlight a positive aspect of the year 2026: They make UPF (sun-protective) clothing that’s actually chic now. Claudent is one brand that’s leading the charge, and I especially love this crisp button-down shirt in a punchy pink colorway that blocks more than 98% of UVA/UVB rays. Cute and shoulder-age-spot-preventing? Yes, please.” –Steph

The Lulo Project Stella’s Top, $350 $245, available here and Stella Shorts, $295 $195, available here: “You’ll find me wearing as much linen as possible in the summer, and this matching polka-dot set is as breathable as it is stylish. I love the top’s adjustable belted waist for a more cinched look and its gold buttons (which complement my all-gold jewelry wardrobe). Plus, this airy set makes me look more put together than I feel while dashing to summertime events. My only note is that I wish the faux front pockets on the shorts weren’t actually faux.” —Catie

Sinta Yohané Essential 02, $328, available here: “I’ve gone through my fair share of little black bags, but this is one of the most luxe in my rotation: Its slim, minimal silhouette, logo-free exterior and full-grain leather fabrication make it the perfect piece to flaunt at a nice dinner or special occasion. I know ‘timeless’ has become an overused adjective, but I can’t think of a better word to describe this clutch. I easily see myself carrying this years from now, and it will still look just as chic as it does today.” —Janelle

J.Crew Denim Bermuda Short With Paracord, $98, available here: “Lately I’ve been very into both oversized Bermuda shorts and sporty paracord detailing — so this pair of jorts immediately caught my attention. Can you tell I miss the summer camp days of my youth?” —Steph

Machine</h3></p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p>The slushie machine from Belgian-founded wellness brand GreenPan is maybe the only slushie machine I’d describe as being even slightly attractive, or pleasant on a countertop—available in a trendy pistachio color scheme that a 21-year-old co-tester called “cute.” The slush produced by this device also had quite a nice consistency, perhaps due to a tighter auger around the cylinder that roiled the slush a little more. My colleague Martin Cizmar, who also tested this device, was able to recreate a Philly recipe for Italian-style water ice with Meyer lemons, and declared himself an unending fan.</p><native-ad position="in-content" shoulddisplaylabel="true"/><p>The GreenPan slushed admirably, making a full chamber’s worth of spiked slush in about 25 minutes. This is nowhere near as fast as the XL or the Twist on slushing speeds, alas. The fill chamber is a little shallow, which means you have to pour slowly or you’ll make a mess. If you accidentally leave the handle down, you’ll also make a mess. Some reports online of cracks in the cylinder over use are also reason for pause. But if aesthetics are a prime consideration, this will slush handily. And look a little better while doing it.</p><native-ad position="sponsor-product" shoulddisplaylabel="true"/><div data-testid="feature-large-callout" class="CalloutFeatureLargeWrapper-hpnRzB position="mid-content"/><p>The original Ninja Slushi was quite simply a triumph of industrial design when it arrived in 2024—the machine that managed to bring the cocktail bar or convenience-store slushie to the home kitchen countertop. Among many imitators, Ninja’s original design remained the most user-friendly and reliable until the next-generation Ninjas supplanted it.</p><p>I’ve made coconut-lime daiquiris for a family of visiting Brazilians, who joked that they planned to take the machine back with them on the airplane. I’ve entertained a party full of children with the nonalcoholic version of slushie. And I’ve made silly frozen cocktails at home, whether lime Jarritos slushies or tamarind michelada slushies. Everything frozen is better, it turns out. Freezing a cocktail adds fun and removes shame.</p><cm-unit/><p>But it’s been replaced. I consider the original Slushi a good value model, but it’s no longer the top of the market. The original Slushi doesn’t slush as well on higher-alcohol slushies as the newer XL and Twist, even for ABV below 16 percent. (Really, with an OG Ninja Slushi, the sweet spot is around 10 to 12 percent ABV if you want good consistency.) Milkshakes/soft-serve are not really feasible on the original Ninja either, always either foamy or ice-gritty.</p><p>Which is all to say, buy the Slushi when it’s on a good sale at $250 or less—or when it’s updated with a compressor as good as the one on the XL or Twist.</p><p><h2>Other Slushie Machines Tested</h2></p><p>Ever since Ninja took slushies to the home market, the Amazon directories have filled with newer brands you’ve likely never heard of and whose names sometimes seem subject to a randomizer engine: Inoviva, Chivalz, Vibofrost, Friwest, Aekda, Syintao, Vischic, Ranvaira, Rinvotio, and the list goes on. Most are available at discounts compared to Ninja or other more recognizable brands.</p><p>I’ve tested three such brands: Chivalz, Invoviva, and Vibofrost. All three have had one form of reliability issue or another: basic design defects, inconsistency of performance, or simply disappearing from the market.</p><p><strong>Chivalz Slushie Machine (no longer in stock):</strong> This was previously WIRED’s budget pick, which my co-tester Kat Merck called, without insult, “a quite respectable Ninja Slushi knockoff.” The device arrived with a welcome digital temp readout and a removable back panel that made cleaning easier on the slush chamber. Performance was comparable to the original Ninja, though the user interface was a bit janky. But since last year, the brand’s slushie machines seem to have disappeared, as the <a data-offer-url="https://www.amazon.com/stores/CHIVALZ/page/E5CDB415-B118-422D-918F-6A8734A50097" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://cna.st/affiliate-link/TSeEb3zLmLvAvE5jyzff6KCgGC5KKgmmU2NajLaN7LpAyhnzqDmdhmshgERssSsCetaYmVVwVGv19xPTjJv4KBmKgYRdpoDHKasQ1KdC5at9RA93kJX5kpKtTUmcpFTQY8N6NHer5R8PSKhaG4KRH1r6GAk1gRcn3eai4jw9bmH4eHSwxTYnxq2wBMARMMDefZV8LhUraPpXWYyTB3H5mqh6ruv6HwPhd9Bio5E7G17o9CvqVBJfJ2A4YuVytecjj1AB8b4okPKQvVNwUACv63vYB4HCo3JWw71EjqUAsjpUpzLN6RWqFBResoG8x8afwQoZJVh9mMdgV8nwwSnSymxVgZgxWuRXkczQmYcMpYNH81wVPHpFYk2rXiRYVMQfmP18g"}" href="https://cna.st/affiliate-link/TSeEb3zLmLvAvE5jyzff6KCgGC5KKgmmU2NajLaN7LpAyhnzqDmdhmshgERssSsCetaYmVVwVGv19xPTjJv4KBmKgYRdpoDHKasQ1KdC5at9RA93kJX5kpKtTUmcpFTQY8N6NHer5R8PSKhaG4KRH1r6GAk1gRcn3eai4jw9bmH4eHSwxTYnxq2wBMARMMDefZV8LhUraPpXWYyTB3H5mqh6ruv6HwPhd9Bio5E7G17o9CvqVBJfJ2A4YuVytecjj1AB8b4okPKQvVNwUACv63vYB4HCo3JWw71EjqUAsjpUpzLN6RWqFBResoG8x8afwQoZJVh9mMdgV8nwwSnSymxVgZgxWuRXkczQmYcMpYNH81wVPHpFYk2rXiRYVMQfmP18g" rel="sponsored" target="_blank">brand’s focus moved to air purifiers and humidifiers.</a></p><p><strong><a data-offer-url="https://www.amazon.com/Auto-Fresh-Self-Cleaning-Operation-Margaritas-Milkshakes/dp/B0F9F5RY1V/" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://cna.st/affiliate-link/4GP5W8kUDRgsR36iXSWYLTcrpRNSjhTdVM8qv34XrxfikMDPgoBeicHkCT9QmQ9EFonewzEJVRXpQNSJZUN6vvfoNDD9exkiq9ToJpV7cRQVD1UjtaKEGFwmxM4EKefnheHppugDyYEFEzrTTSD7D3xZxecYEW6fpuuNNdtVtQvbWUchGa31joLF31gSfmKpqB7mkds3XbXFxtzox7RaFijVdWHUc1jJjyWX2ZbdJEmBX7cVJdX9pFMf49wfMd1FPte36bBdp4wdE8jiAc97hPptRoB2TFc397Qq7JypMGbhXxhZFGx4LTh1DiGaHBCMiJNpU2nyqjYi9dgAppZRMnL76PyUUGpwiDm1qddcKgFKKHmH3DjcMRCdgv5xEwbNsTF2kr3yk7dXTBPjLyt8sD9zua"}" href="https://cna.st/affiliate-link/4GP5W8kUDRgsR36iXSWYLTcrpRNSjhTdVM8qv34XrxfikMDPgoBeicHkCT9QmQ9EFonewzEJVRXpQNSJZUN6vvfoNDD9exkiq9ToJpV7cRQVD1UjtaKEGFwmxM4EKefnheHppugDyYEFEzrTTSD7D3xZxecYEW6fpuuNNdtVtQvbWUchGa31joLF31gSfmKpqB7mkds3XbXFxtzox7RaFijVdWHUc1jJjyWX2ZbdJEmBX7cVJdX9pFMf49wfMd1FPte36bBdp4wdE8jiAc97hPptRoB2TFc397Qq7JypMGbhXxhZFGx4LTh1DiGaHBCMiJNpU2nyqjYi9dgAppZRMnL76PyUUGpwiDm1qddcKgFKKHmH3DjcMRCdgv5xEwbNsTF2kr3yk7dXTBPjLyt8sD9zua" rel="sponsored" target="_blank" data-aps-asin="B0F9F5RY1V" data-aps-asc-tag="w050b-20">Vibofrost Slushie Machine ($235, sold out after Prime Day)</a>:</strong> This Vibofrost, like the Chivalz, freezes slushies comparably to the original Ninja Slushi. The second time, it was still loud, and the user interface had a difficult-to-navigate locking feature, but freezing was indeed more consistent. It’s encircled by a plastic spiral auger attached to a motor. The auger mixes the drink, keeps it slushing instead of freezing solid, and also pushes the resulting slush toward the dispenser nozzle so you can have some. The resolute simplicity of this design allowed Ninja and others to scale down the commercial slushie maker for home consumers thirsty for frozen treats.</p><p>The main requirement is that the frozen beverage have more than 4 percent sugar—or between 3 percent and 16 percent alcohol—in order to lower the freezing point of the resulting concoction and make slushing possible. Some slushie machine vendors <a data-offer-url="https://www.ampto.com/blogs/learning-center/what-is-the-best-percentage-of-sugar-on-liquid-to-use-for-your-frozen-drinks?srsltid=AfmBOoqNgjRd4AW8FyO387yUVL9GV9UHfhnzI9gJxa9nWgGexwyDVggf" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://www.ampto.com/blogs/learning-center/what-is-the-best-percentage-of-sugar-on-liquid-to-use-for-your-frozen-drinks?srsltid=AfmBOoqNgjRd4AW8FyO387yUVL9GV9UHfhnzI9gJxa9nWgGexwyDVggf"}" href="https://www.ampto.com/blogs/learning-center/what-is-the-best-percentage-of-sugar-on-liquid-to-use-for-your-frozen-drinks?srsltid=AfmBOoqNgjRd4AW8FyO387yUVL9GV9UHfhnzI9gJxa9nWgGexwyDVggf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">recommend percentages more like 15 percent sugar,</a> for perfect consistency. But I often balk at this. Coca-Cola and orange juice are each around 11 percent sugar—so that’s very sweet. Some hero of the internet has made <a data-offer-url="https://slushcalculator.com/" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://slushcalculator.com/"}" href="https://slushcalculator.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">a slush calculator</a> for easy reference.</p><p>A minimum of 16 ounces of liquid is required for most 88-ounce home machines, for simple reasons: The liquid needs to be in physical contact with the core in order to slush up and also to keep ice from forming on the central cylinder’s surface. The Slushi XL requires a 24-ounce minimum, because it’s bigger.</p></div></div></div></div></div><div style="outline:none" id="Diet" tabindex="-1"><div class="AccordionItemWrapper-iLIlCF dnShlA"><div class="AccordionContainer-gsDmFY kNAKJl"><div data-testid="accordion-item-container" class="AccordionItemContainer-jFRYlp zgmT"><div class="AccordionItemContainerLabel-etvqIf eJorEL"><p>Can You Put Diet Soda in a Slushie Machine?</p></div><button class="BaseButton-bcGmUs ButtonWrapper-dPMEWm MOjna iXOcpb button button--utility AccordionItemContainerButton-jMXXPz cpRpLP" data-event-click="{"element":"Button"}" data-testid="Button" role="button" type="button"><span class="ButtonLabel-eCjeQX eTFZtz button__label">AccordionItemContainerButton</span></button></div><div class="AccordionItemContainerContent-fiXpuI iNoJel opening-animation"><div><p>No and yes. Slushies rely on a helpful property of water: Sugar (or salt) dissolved in water lowers its freezing point below 32 degrees Fahrenheit. Why? Solubles like sugar are chaos agents. Sugar molecules move randomly, refuse to dissolve into ice, and interfere with water’s ability to form hydrogen bonds and turn crystalline. Some water molecules freeze, but sugar water doesn’t. Tada! Slush.</p><p>If you try to make a slushie out of sugar-free soda, or sugar-free anything, ice crystals will instead form easily. The stainless steel freezing core will ice over and scrape on the auger, and ice cubes or hunks will gather mass in the slushie machine. The cylinder will start to shake, then the machine will clunk, then eventually you’ll probably break your machine: Low-sugar fail-safes on these devices have not been overly reliable, alas. So don’t try this at home!</p><p>This doesn’t mean you’re doomed to massive calories if you want to make a slushie. Not every artificial sweetener lowers the freezing point appropriately, but the one that Ninja recommends for diet slushies is allulose, a rare but naturally occurring sugar that’s <a data-offer-url="https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/what-is-allulose" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/what-is-allulose"}" href="https://www.webmd.com/diet/features/what-is-allulose" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">70 percent as sweet as basic sugar but is not metabolized effectively by the human digestive system.</a> This means it’s low in calories and doesn’t cause insulin spikes—but as with a lot of indigestibles, note that side effects can include bloating or GI distress for some.</p><p>For easiest use in a slushie, buy <a data-offer-url="https://www.amazon.com/Wholesome-Sweeteners-Allulose-Sweetener-Glycemic/dp/B07YBV4BN6/" class="external-link text link" data-event-click="{"element":"ExternalLink","outgoingURL":"https://www.amazon.com/Wholesome-Sweeteners-Allulose-Sweetener-Glycemic/dp/B07YBV4BN6/"}" href="https://www.amazon.com/Wholesome-Sweeteners-Allulose-Sweetener-Glycemic/dp/B07YBV4BN6/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" data-aps-asin="B07YBV4BN6" data-aps-asc-tag="w050b-20">liquid allulose</a>. Powdered versions also exist, but to use them, you’ll need to make a simple syrup by heating up the powder in water to help it dissolve, then let it cool. If you just try to drop the allulose powder into your machine with some Diet Coke, it might not dissolve, and you might still get ice formation. Or at least, I definitely still got ice formation when I tried this on the OG Ninja, and had to stop my machine.</p></div></div></div></div></div><div style="outline:none" id="Milkshake" tabindex="-1"><div class="AccordionItemWrapper-iLIlCF dnShlA"><div class="AccordionContainer-gsDmFY kNAKJl"><div data-testid="accordion-item-container" class="AccordionItemContainer-jFRYlp zgmT"><div class="AccordionItemContainerLabel-etvqIf eJorEL"><p>How Can You Stop Milkshakes From Getting Foamy in a Slushie Machine?</p></div><button class="BaseButton-bcGmUs ButtonWrapper-dPMEWm MOjna iXOcpb button button--utility AccordionItemContainerButton-jMXXPz cpRpLP" data-event-click="{"element":"Button"}" data-testid="Button" role="button" type="button"><span class="ButtonLabel-eCjeQX eTFZtz button__label">AccordionItemContainerButton</span></button></div><div class="AccordionItemContainerContent-fiXpuI iNoJel opening-animation"><div><p>Bet you didn’t expect a lesson in milk proteins today! To avoid this, Ninja recommends also adding heavy cream or half-and-half to any milkshake recipe. The higher fat content will keep things smoother.</p><p>Note it’s easiest to use fruit syrups, rather than just juice, and add vanillin, or it’ll be a bit boring: The heavy fat tends to overwhelm any subtle fruit flavors. Another deep secret of the tasty milkshake? Salt. Add a tiiiinny pinch; it’ll help bring out flavor. A 16-ounce McDonald’s milkshake has 260 milligrams of sodium—about 1/16th of a teaspoon of table salt, or approximately the amount that fits between your index finger and your thumb.</p><p>But temper your expectations here. None of the slushie machines we tested made a texture comparable to a classic milkshake. On most machines, which don’t have compressors as powerful as the new-model Ninjas that are now our top picks, the texture is often a little ice-gritty and not as richly textured or integrated as the milkshake you’ll get from your local burger joint, let alone the soft serve from the <a href="https://www.wired.com/story/they-hacked-mcdonalds-ice-cream-makers-started-cold-war/" class="text link">famously broken ice cream machines at McDonald’s.</a> Slushie machines also can’t handle chunks of frozen fruit, often the best part of a milkshake.</p><p>On the newer Ninjas, with their more powerful freezing power, I was able to get the smoothness and freeze I wanted. But because most recipes call for a high-fat mix of 2:1 milk and heavy cream in order ot avoid churning foam and butter, the results still weren’t quite a light milkshake. It was more like a dense, rich, quite tasty soft serve.</p><p>Now, do I like being able to make 20-minute soft-serve in my home? From milk and heavy cream and sugar and a dash of vanilla? Heck yes, I do.</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><h2/></div>#Ninja #Quietly #Drastically #Improved #Slushie #Machineskitchen, shopping, household, food and drink, amazon
