iPhone 17 Pro Max Price in India vs Dubai: Flying to Dubai Is Still Cheaper

iPhone 17 Pro Max Price in India vs Dubai: Flying to Dubai Is Still Cheaper

Apple has launched the iPhone 17 series, and as always, prices in India are noticeably higher than in many other countries. The iPhone 17 Pro Max is listed at ₹1,49,900 here, while in Dubai, its price is much less. What makes it even more surprising is that when you add the cost of a round-trip ticket, the overall expense remains lower than the Indian price.

Price Comparison: India vs Dubai

In India, the iPhone 17 Pro Max costs close to ₹1.5 lakh. In Dubai, the same model is priced at 5,099 AED, which works out to about ₹1,22,500. This is a virtual flat cut of nearly ₹27,400 before even travel expenses are considered.

A round-trip ticket from New Delhi to Dubai normally costs up to ₹22,000, which is the lowest end of the mean prices. Adding that expenditure on Dubai’s price for the iPhone 17 Pro Max brings us to a total of approximately ₹1,45,000.

That means that even after you pay for the ticket, you still end up saving around ₹5,000 relative to purchasing the same device in India. If prices go lower throughout sales or low seasons, the differential might slightly go higher. It’s worth noting that this does not account for hotel stays, food, or local transportation. But the calculation is enough to show just how wide the price difference is.

Obviously, buying a ticket abroad just for an iPhone isn’t realistic. But the comparison highlights how expensive iPhones are in India. Such levies, taxes, and spending constitute a price hike in such a case, and markets such as the UAE still provide much lower rates. For Indian buyers, this makes the price gap hard to ignore every year when a new iPhone launches.
