Met Gala 2026 is around the corner, and one of the stars people can’t wait to see grace the museum’s famed stairs is Zendaya. But will she be attending? Here’s all we know.

If you are a fan of Zendaya, then you’ll know the star is a busy bee this year—so much so that some fans even speculated she could be retiring after all the press tours she’s got locked for 2026.

The star has already successfully completed a world press tour for The Drama alongside Robert Pattinson (which was already like her personal Met Gala, let’s be honest), she’s also promoted season three of Euphoria, which is currently airing, and going into the summer we still have The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, both of those with rumored husband, confirmed fiancé Tom Holland.

Before the end of the year, she’ll also be promoting the long anticipated Dune: Part Three. So, before she embarks on her millionth world tour of the year, could she be making a pit stop in New York in early May to flex her fashion muscles? Well, the guest list is top-secret and unconfirmed, and Zendaya does not have an official Met Gala duty this year, but we’d say she is very likely to attend regardless.

Over the years, Zendaya has become one of the most anticipated names in the lead-up to the Met Gala, even though she skipped the event for a handful of consecutive years. In 2024, the star made her grand Met Gala return as a co-chair and stunned everyone in situ and at home with not one but two show-stopping looks. In 2025, Zendaya kept her streak going, showing up in a custom Louis Vuitton suit complete with a massive hat that broke the internet.

The theme for the Met Gala 2026 is “Costume Art” and the dress code is “Fashion Is Art,” which sounds like a combo that Zendaya and her longtime stylist Law Roach would absolutely devour. In fact, Roach seems to be in Met Gala prep mode and teasing potential appearances by some of his clients, which could very well include Zendaya.

Speaking to E! News in late March, Roach was asked about the Met Gala 2026 and admitted he was “excited” to see the interpretations of the theme and dress code and that preparing for the event is not for the faint of heart. “It’s a lot of stress and they’re only on the carpet for like five minutes, and then you go in, and it’s all over,” he said. “It’s months and months of hard work for a five-minute payout.”

Speaking about styling Zendaya and pulling looks for her for the Met Gala specifically, he said, “Our relationship is so symbiotic that it could be one dress, it could be a thousand dresses. You just never know.”
