Cellphone video circulating widely on social media captures the wild scene: dozens of people throwing punches, shoving and piling on as bodies hit the floor in the crowded venue. Bystanders can be seen recording the mayhem while others try to pull fighters apart amid the screaming and chaos.

The trouble started after the 1200 Degrees Pool Party at the nearby Bungalow Beach Bar wrapped up around 10 p.m. Roughly 400 revelers poured out onto the Boardwalk, with a large number heading straight to the Royce Social Club at the Tropicana. That’s when all hell broke loose.

Cops confirmed a large fight erupted at the club. Separate incidents earlier in the night included a fight at the Bungalow Beach Bar itself, though no arrests were made there. Unruly crowds were later dispersed from the Chelsea Pub (which had already been shut down) and the Wonder Bar.

Four men and one woman were arrested in connection with the Saturday night bar incidents across the city, police said. Their names have not been released.

The viral video shows the intensity of the Tropicana melee, with security and officers eventually moving in to restore order. No serious injuries have been publicly reported so far.

Atlantic City summers are no strangers to late-night drama, but this one left the casino floor looking more like a free-for-all than a night on the town.
