In the almost a decade since the money-making fan-favorite franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean, bowed out with Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fate of the film series has been swinging from one extreme to the other. Now that we know for a fact that two movies are in development and that Disney is toying with the idea of mending its broken relationship with Johnny Depp, the sails are continuing to gather wind. Entering the ring and tossing in his name with hopes of picking up where the last movie left off, Orlando Bloom, recently appeared on ITV’s This Morning to promote his upcoming feature Deep Cover. While there, The Lord of the Rings actor was asked about his potential return to the swashbuckling film series, and he seemed incredibly optimistic about the idea.
Addressing the possibility of reprising his role as Will Turner, Bloom said,
“Well, I don’t know, I can’t say anything at the moment because I really don’t know, but there’s definitely availability. I think they’re trying to work out what it would all look like, I personally think it’d be great to get the band back together. That would be great, but there are always different ideas, and so we’ll see where it lands.”
