Frisco, Texas — Texas authorities have dropped a bombshell: newly released surveillance video captures the exact moment a teenage track star was stabbed to death in cold blood, and his killer immediately sprinted away from the scene.

The distant but damning footage from Kuykendall Stadium shows Karmelo Anthony, now 19, near the Memorial High School team tent during an April 2, 2025, district track meet.

He pulls a knife from his backpack, plunges it into 17-year-old Austin Metcalf’s heart, and takes off running across the wet field with zero hesitation.

The video was released Friday by a Collin County judge days after a jury convicted Anthony of murder and sentenced him to 35 years in prison, rejecting his self-defense claims outright.

He was stabbed once in the chest and died from the wound. His twin brother was reportedly with him in his final moments.
