A 25-year-old bull rider was left bloodied, limp and fighting for his life after being violently thrown and stomped by the massive beast during a wild rodeo in the Bronx.

Chilling footage of the nightmare unfolded Sunday night at the Rodeo Tierra Caliente on Bruner Avenue in Baychester. The sanctioned event turned chaotic in seconds as the rider was bucked hard off the bull.

The dramatic video shows the cowboy — wearing a white hat, chaps and protective gear, getting launched into the air before slamming into the dirt. The furious bull immediately turned on him, stomping and dragging his unconscious body across the arena while stunned spectators watched in horror.

Cowboys and rodeo workers rushed in with ropes and distractions to pull the injured rider to safety as the bull continued its rampage.“I thought he was going to pass away,” one witness said of the terrifying moments after the fall.

The rider was rushed to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition, according to the NYPD. His exact injuries were not immediately released, but witnesses described him as appearing briefly unconscious and bleeding after the vicious attack.

The incident happened around 6:15 p.m. during the popular urban rodeo put on by Rancho El Tesoro. Crowds, including families with young children, were on hand for the spectacle.

Audience member Osvaldo Sanchez, who captured the chaos up close, said the danger is always part of bull riding, but seeing it play out in front of kids was still jarring.“

There were a lot of young kids also obviously witnessed this, and they were also like worried about what has happened,” Sanchez said. “I already had experience of all of that, so I was really used to it. I didn’t mind recording it, like really up close.”

Bull riding remains one of the most dangerous sports in the world, with riders risking broken bones, head trauma and worse every time they climb aboard a 2,000-pound bucking bull.

This Bronx showdown delivered a brutal reminder of just how quickly things can go wrong.
