बुरहानपुर जिले में नेपानगर एसडीएम भागीरथ वाखला ने गुरुवार को तुकईथड़ चना खरीदी केंद्र का आकस्मिक निरीक्षण किया। उन्होंने केंद्र पर किसानों को स्वच्छ पानी, बैठने के लिए छाया और त्वरित तौल की व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करने के निर्देश दिए। एसडीएम ने सोसायटी को किसानों को चाय उपलब्ध कराने का भी निर्देश दिया, जिसका खर्च सोसायटी वहन करेगी। यह कदम किसानों को केंद्र पर मिलने वाली सुविधाओं में सुधार के उद्देश्य से उठाया गया है। दरअसल, मंडी में किसानों को आ रही समस्याओं को लेकर लगातार शिकायतें मिल रही थीं। कलेक्टर हर्ष सिंह के निर्देश पर एसडीएम भागीरथ वाखला ने तुकईथड़ मंडी का दौरा किया। यह खकनार क्षेत्र का एकमात्र चना खरीदी केंद्र है, जहां नेपानगर और खकनार क्षेत्र के किसान अपनी उपज लेकर पहुंचते हैं। निरीक्षण के दौरान, एसडीएम ने केंद्र पर एक और तौल कांटा बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए। वर्तमान में यहां दो तौल कांटे उपलब्ध हैं। उन्होंने यह भी सुनिश्चित करने को कहा कि किसानों को अपनी उपज तौलने के लिए अधिक समय तक इंतजार न करना पड़े। भीषण गर्मी (43 डिग्री सेल्सियस) को देखते हुए किसानों के लिए पर्याप्त छायादार बैठने की व्यवस्था करने पर भी जोर दिया गया।
