मंदसौर जिले में अवैध शराब के खिलाफ चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत पिपलियामंडी थाना पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता मिली है। थाना क्षेत्र के काचरिया चंद्रावत गांव में कच्ची शराब बनाने वाले अड्डों पर पुलिस ने दबिश देकर भारी मात्रा में लहान (कच्ची शराब बनाने का घोल) नष्ट किया। गुप्त सूचना पर छापा थाना प्रभारी विक्रम सिंह इवने के नेतृत्व में पुलिस टीम ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर सुनियोजित तरीके से कार्रवाई को अंजाम दिया। पुलिस को जानकारी मिली थी कि गांव में कुछ लोग छिपकर अवैध शराब बना रहे हैं, जिसके बाद टीम ने तत्काल रणनीति बनाकर मौके पर दबिश दी। तालाब किनारे खाइयों में चल रहा था अवैध कारोबार जानकारी के अनुसार, अवैध शराब बनाने वाले तत्व तालाबों के आसपास गहरी खाइयों और गड्ढों में छिपकर कच्ची शराब तैयार कर रहे थे, ताकि पुलिस की नजर से बच सकें लेकिन पुलिस ने सूझबूझ दिखाते हुए इन छिपे हुए ठिकानों तक पहुंची और कार्रवाई की। मौके पर 400 लीटर लहान नष्ट दबिश के दौरान पुलिस ने करीब 400 लीटर लहान को मौके पर ही नष्ट कर दिया। हालांकि कार्रवाई के दौरान कोई आरोपी पुलिस के हत्थे नहीं चढ़ सका, जिससे यह अंदेशा है कि पुलिस की भनक लगते ही आरोपी मौके से फरार हो गए। थाना प्रभारी विक्रम सिंह इवने ने बताया कि क्षेत्र में अवैध गतिविधियों के खिलाफ लगातार अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। उन्होंने साफ कहा कि इस प्रकार के गैरकानूनी कार्यों में संलिप्त लोगों को किसी भी सूरत में बख्शा नहीं जाएगा। फिलहाल पुलिस पूरे मामले की जांच में जुटी हुई है और फरार आरोपियों की तलाश की जा रही है।
