Jordan Roth channels the vibe of a living sculpture at his eighth Met Gala.
The 50-year-old Tony Award-winning Broadway producer hit the 2026 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 4) in New York City.
Jordan‘s look was designed by couturier Robert Wun.

Jordan’s look included dozens of sketches to get the figure just right
Per Vogue, it took a lot of work to get his “shadow” figure’s pose just right and create an embrace that changes depending on the angle. The dress itself is made from a flowing stretch velvet and rendered in stone. The molded figure is attached via a three-strap harness at the waist to work in tandem with the outfit.
“The ability to really dance together and have a story that evolves was crucial,” he said about the piece and how it functions.

What is the theme of this year’s Met Gala?
The Met Gala is the biggest night in fashion every year and you can expect hundreds of A-List celebrities to be in attendance. The gala is celebrating the Met’s Costume Art exhibition, which “explores the ‘centrality of the dressed body’ through depictions and interpretations of the human form in the Met’s extensive collection.” The dress code this year is “Fashion is Art” and the co-chairs for the gala are Beyonce, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Lisa from BLACKPINK also wore a Robert Wun design to the Met Gala. See the photos of her showstopping outfit here.
